    Greetings, all.

Everyday is not exactly the same, forget about the beach, I’m in door as it’s a gloomy, rainy, windy and cool day. Stuff happens, looking forward to the return of the sun.

@Shanex I'll trade you you clouds for some Sun, as we are entering a second straight week of 90s F and medium to high humidity in Chicago. Relief (mid 80s) shall come by the weekend.

I'm getting in a long walk to the store now so the groceries and I don't melt before reaching home. This collaboration pour by Modern Times and AleSmith, Cosmic Ominbus is my pre-trip fortification. I'll grab a second pour when I return.

Sticking with the Twilight Zone song theme from yesterday, here is the 1985 opening intro theme, by a band beloved and enjoyed by millions for three decades, and which leads the world in bootleg tapes.

Completing the beer pairing with this underrated band.

[IMG] Morning all. Looks like we have some rain coming in. Starting today with this NEIPA with Sabro hops, tasty stuff and the coconut does not over shadow the other flavors. Cheers all and you will see me plenty on this day off.

[IMG] This one is a really nice and slightly different local NEDIPA that I could pick out of a lineup. Went out to get my usual lottery numbers, a local 4 rack, and purchased a $100 winning scratch ticket going to be a good day.

A little ORB BDJ this a.m. - quickly becoming an a.m. favorite after breakfast.
Long day of work ahead, scorching heat ahead for what...7-9 days? So, might spin indoors.
    Check in later, cheers all.

Chimay Tripel... another beer, at last the sun shouldn’t be back before Friday. No biggie. Just not too good for my tan line and liver...

Have a good Wednesday. I was up playing video games with friends until 1-2 AM. I went out for fast food munchies at midnight. All I wanted was a double whopper, and I got to BK and they had no beef. I ended up settling for some chicken and fish sandwiches with fries from McDonald's. Needless to say I am still full after that one, and I didn't even eat at all the whole day. I got a new Humble Bundle with 13 new games yesterday, so I am going to start a couple of them.

Founders Centennial. Incredible IPA as always, one of my main classic favorites. Lasting thick head retention/lacing the whole glass. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate toasted bread, light honey/caramel malt balance; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body. Balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light lingering resins/rinds. Fairly crisp/drying, and extremely drinkable; never astringent. Never gets old, always fantastic. I will always love classic C hopped beers, even with all of the new hop varieties around. Awesome vibrant/juicy, and fairly dank/earthy Centennial hops; great balancing bready Munich malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering crisp resin dryness. Been keeping it around more often recently.

On the last beer run, I meant to grab White Dog's IPA, and mistakenly ended up with their Hazy Pale Ale instead (nearly identical can art between the two). I'll probably crush three of these by the end of the session. These guys moved their brewery from Montana to Idaho a few years ago, and glad they did.

    Prost!

I'm enjoying a DirtWolf from Victory. This is a world class DIPA and it's a regular in my fridge. It's a true hopbomb, without being bitter. It's damn near perfect.

Untappd keeps arguing with me about some bull shit, just had to email them back.. Just got a hulu account. I wanted to check out Brooklyn Nine-Nine, so I just went for it. There is a lot of other stuff that interested me available, so I got the $6 subscription. Definitely worth it. Don't mind ads too much, as long as they don't get out of hand. We'll see.

Old Nation Boss Tweed. Insane NEDIPA as always. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, apricot, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-full bodied creamy, bready, grainy wheat/oats in the mouthfeel. Slight hop stickiness, with a touch of increasing lingering bitter dryness. Zero hop astringency. Dangerously drinkable for 9.3%, minimal warming ABV. One of the absolute best in the style I've had, smoothness is unmatched. Pure citrus/tropical fruit juice hop flavors, with a touch of dankness. Never overly sweet/heavy feeling on malts for the ABV; perfectly balanced. Super soft mouthfeel. Old Nation definitely has the best MI NEIPAs. These hold up extremely well over a few months. I prefer them with a bit of time actually, because they get even smoother/silkier.

Good afternoon, BAs! After a trip to central NJ for the 4th, I am awash in Jersey goodies. Picked this up on a whim due to a word on the can...those who know me can probably guess what word drew my eye. :nerd:

Surprisingly great beer. Looks like a champ, killer nose, tropical hops with a bracingly bitter finish. A tad chalky but that’s a minor ding. My first from these guys. Glad I have another from them to try later this week!
