    Time for another mystery beer, courtesy of @Justonemore91. They've all been good so far -- why should this one be any different? Pours a deep yellow haze mixed with bright orange accents when held to the light. About a finger's worth of eggshell white head that produces cave pattern drawings and solid retention. Aromas of weed, tobacco leaf, sweet hops, and overripe melon. Taste follows with some artificial orange slices and a medicinal aspect that just doesn't feel quite polished for me. There's a tug and pull with this hop mixture, and I don't feel like it's been refined enough for any of them to stand on their own two feet. Overly cloying for me on the finish. I know there are people that will like this beer, for sure. It just isn't hitting for me. I am finishing this one, though. I love my brother @Justonemore91. If it weren't for him, my sorry ass would have never had the privilege of trying this beer.

    I'm also still nursing my dram of Bunnahabhain 18. FWIW, it might be my favorite beer-pairing whisk(e)y so far.

    I get the shakes when I'm in a building without AC. :stuck_out_tongue:

    You're right about humidity -- we get 95 heat indexes here at midnight b/c of the humidity. It's dumb. Anyway, good luck sorting out that Colorado heat!

    FWIW, the beer is making it taste even better. Really brings out the sweeter notes without ruining too much of the darker leather/tobacco flavor.

    Iron work during the summer? :flushed::scream::dizzy_face: Yikes! I think I'd prefer roofing. At least the wind might be blowing.

    Corsairs were like zoom and boom. You didn't even try to turn with a Zero. You gained altitude, dropped that heavy nose, zoom in and dump 50 Caliber red hot lead in a Zero and FIRE! FIRE! FIRE! Zero catches ablaze and crashes in the Pacific ocean. No armor plating, no self-sealing fuel tanks and it could only take one round from a Corsair. Sayonara. Push the throttle forward, climb out to safety, get altitude, find a target, zoom and boom. Zero's could not catch a Corsair in a dive. Always remember, never run out of altitude, air speed or ideas. Keep the shiny side up.

    WWII. My dad was in North Africa fighting Rommel, the desert fox, Italy, France and finally Germany. He survived although with a messed up leg. Weird but he died on DDay but 1999.

    I think the Pacific Theater was a nightmare at land, at sea or in the air. Unimaginable.

    My other grandfather was British Army. Serving in Singapore. Fortunately was withdrawn to a different area right before the Japanese invasion. And for those who weren’t, what a nightmare.

    And my wars are wrong. Only Grandpa and Bob were in Italy and Africa for WWII, Rudy was in the Navy for Korea (as he was quite a bit younger than the others, and just came along for this trip cause why not :slight_smile:)
