I would gladly exchange Jacob Leinenkugel's, Smuttynose, and Spoetzl (Shiner) for Funky Buddha.

Mmm Stickee Monkey....base for many other relish blends. Crazy great fresh, not bad aged. I think I have 12 2018s on the shelf still.

I have one I got in a trade. I'll probably drink it on Christmas. The only other time I had it was on tap in Las Vegas a few years ago. Great beer.

    1. Kona. I think they have the same six-packs from five years ago on the shelf.
    2. Ballast Point. All those sculpins...all that waste of water.
    3. Blue Point. AB/InBev wants them to be a craft leg I think, but they’re boring...bring back Wild Blue instead.

Anchorage Brewing would be nice (or if Mortalis would distribute to their fellow beer drinkers down the I-90).

Autocorrect...I meant delish, not relish! Fresh was amazing. All Medjool date flavor which was unique. I didn’t see it here in 2019 or 2020. Not sure if it was on their list.

Distro in Chicago is ridiculous, so there’s a ton of stuff I never buy that would be easy to “trade away.” Instead, I limited my choices to breweries I actually purchase from because “what would I be willing to sacrifice?” seemed like a more interesting thought experiment.

    1. Deschutes, Stone, & 21st Amendment to get Bear Republic.

    2. Boulevard, Great Divide, & Surly to get Von Trapp.

    3. Cigar City, Victory, & Short’s to get Rhinegeist.

Wow, I've never had OMB beers, but giving up those other three would be painful. You gotta be in the running for biggest sacrifice.

F**k the haters. I still love ZD after all these years, but for my palate, Lazersnake > ZD.

    To sum up this thread:

    Let's do away with:
    - the craft brand bought by Heineken
    - all the craft brands bought by AB InBev
    - and the craft brand bought (and let go) by Constellation

In exchange for the craft brand bought by Duvel Moortgat that has trouble getting in-code beer on store shelves.

I'd give up Victory*, BBC, & Flying Dog for New Glarus.

*Prima Pils is the only thing I'd really miss, but I already do - it's always old on the rare occasions when I do see it.

Out: Stone (boring lineup), Toppling Goliath (overpriced NEIPA-centric), Evil Twin and/or Dogfish Head (Both are overpriced for what you get)
In: KC Bier Co., Urban Chestnut, or Live Oak
I honestly don't care which of the 3 are added because they all do German styles really damn well.

I would give up literally every single craft beer sold in 4 pack cans in order to have Cantillon Classic Gueuze on the shelves at my local liquor store.

I don’t know how widely Olde Mecklenberg distributes unless they’ve recently expanded. I was in Asheville about 2 years ago and they didn’t have any in shops I stopped in. Wilmington, NC last summer and they weren’t getting any either. Not even statewide it seems but certainly not regional.

It wouldn’t be hard, honestly. I am not at all into Belgian beers, so alagash and ommegang never get my attention. And it’s hard to buy a bottle of the bruery when I can buy two 6 packs for the same price, ha.

Would give up Breckenridge, Sea Dog, and Harpoon for Russian River. Or Firestone-Walker (we lost their distro in 2018).

Man, I wish I got nore into beer when I lived in California.
