    An afternoon spent drinking, smoking, and painting. Probably no more "new" beers for me today; I wanted something reliable.

    And since that was a few hours ago, here's the (terrible) finished product:

    Em picked that one out for her mom, but she didn't feel up to the task (she's way better at painting than I, and would have done a better job, but she doesn't think she is good at painting or drawing skulls). So, I wound up with some unexpected inspiration!

    Can poured into a teku

    One finger fizzy white foam cap , good retention , some lacings , settles to a layer with ring over a hazy carbonated orange liquid

    Aroma of tropical fruit, mango, bubble gum, floral

    Taste is earthy , malts , citrus orange ,

    Low sudsing, gentle hop nibble , hop bitterness gently lingers

    Nice beer

    I think I might go back to it in a bit. I stopped myself because I know I'll keep fucking up the water and trees. But in retrospect, I want some more definition in the eyes, some fuzzy blackness near where the "teeth" would be, and some gray shading below the cheekbones. But it's not my worst work, that's for sure (which ... tells you about where the bar is lol). :slight_smile:

    Gotta agree. Mosaic is the daughter of Simcoe and certainly takes those Simcoe qualities up a notch and more. Still love me some Simcoe, but Mosaic is where it’s at. Top 3 for me is Citra, Mosaic, and Galaxy with Nelson close behind. How about you? I’m assuming Nelson is #1, but I could be wrong.

    Doing a side by side of pFriem's Pilsner and Buoy's Czech-style Pilsner. For learning!

    I'm enjoying both, they're clearly different beers, but they're also similar in a lot of ways.
