being a beer writer I figured you’d understand the distinction.

Weird fight to pick, but I still hope you had a nice saison Saturday.

Not picking a fight. Some might not know that lambic doesn’t grow on palm trees in San Diego.

I usually do saisons on Sundays.

Point taken. I suppose I just wasn't into offering caveats on a Saturday night, especially when the only thing saving me from the humidity was the thoughts of trying a new saison when the kids went down.

Those respites are precious (we have a 4 month old).

I pity neither of you. But I respect both of you.

So is there going to be SaisonSaturday thread every week now? I see the first one is already locked.

And its WILD time for any parent these days. I'm not sure what age is the worst right now. My oldest had the RMV close on the day she was going for her driving test, they finally started driving tests again in June. My youngest missed his freshman lacrosse season, I randomly get checked into the wall now during my commute from the kitchen to my basement office since that's 3 months of missed checks that he's trying to make up for. He's already taller than me (I'm just under 6'2") but I still outweigh him so if this lasts too much longer I might have to start working out again so I can continue to win these random feats of strength competitions.

How in the world is the Saison Saturday thread locked?! This is an egregious assault on our rights as saison drinkers. They wouldn’t shut down an IPA thread!

I will start a new thread every week til they ban me. I’m spreading saison love.

It does seem odd to lock that thread. I can’t understand why they would do it (?) Just seems arbitrary.

Last summer, I remember there were two or three different threads running at once dedicated to Treehouse and Treehouse-related topics, but those threads continued to exist even though they were all discussing the same place. But a saison thread gets locked after a couple of days?

I did have a bottle of Oxbow Space-Age Barrel Boy this weekend. Very, very nice. Balanced acidity and malt, great aroma, 4.5% ABV. Highly recommended. I didn’t even realize that I had it, and it exceeded my expectations.

Have the next thread be specific for NE brewed saisons/wilds and maybe it will stick.

Maybe even NE-available variations on the style.

However, still seems silly. I could realistically - as others could - drink a farmhouse from outside the region (and it’s not available here) that they plan to chat about for #SaisonSaturday.

I think the mods have made an effort this year to reduce the number and length of threads. I presume they saw that thread the same way as the "WBAYDN" thread. Once Saturday was over so was the thread.

I got a notification that the mods prefer something more along the lines of a "saison appreciation" thread, as opposed to a weekly thing (I didn't actually intend to do a new one every week, but rather just add to the existing one).

But, listen, if they're trying to start a war with the saison studs, if they're trying to do battle with the friends of farmhouse ales, if they're trying to step to the mixed ferm maniacs, who is with me!?

(I'm kidding, of course, but seriously, I'm not.)

    Long live #Saison Saturday!

There's no alliteration in "Saison Appreciation", where's the fun in that?

    I'm with #SaisonStuds for #SaisonSaturday

(Also ... parenthetically worth noting: There's another Tree House v. Trillium thread -- bringing the total to 485 of these threads -- in the forum. But god forbid we bring saisons into the mix!)

It wasn't like you could only post about saisons on Saturday. It was more just a general New England saison thread. Maybe the mods didn't realize that.

Treehouse vs. Trillium is very 2015.

And it's fine. I'm being over-the-top for over-the-top's sake. Greater injustices have been performed, like when they suspended me from BA for asking "which NE craft beer are we drinking to celebrate Tom Brady's return?" Alas ... here I am again fighting the good fight.

I thought f2brewers was demoted a long time ago, tbh.
