Wut? Really? I thought they retracted back to their core market, around 08-09? I've not seen any mention of availability since then. The bar I used to manage sold a bunch of the White, we kept it on always, and one day, POOF!, it was gone, never to be seen again.

    I miss that beer.

I know I've grabbed some of their stuff pre-COVID out here. Looks like CA is their only distro West of Chicago... kinda shocked they skip CO.

Well, the story was, they were running short at home, because of distro. Wanted to focus on the core. Sensible, and understandable. But I still miss their beers.

On the other hand, Brooklyn (at least some of their stuff) is available about 25 miles away.

In a whole different country. That's not allowing us Merkinz in right now.

    We live in interesting times.

I'd sacrifice every single brewery in San Diego to get Side Project over here.

Are you located anywhere near Phoenixville? Bistro On Bridge has 2 HF saisons on tap right now and to-go in 32 oz crowlers. Check out their draft list https://bistroonbridge.com/bistro/#currentlist

Also, Teresa’s Next Door in Wayne occasionally gets HF

Damn, just checked out their portfolio on their website (most of which I've never seen on the shelves - but i guess some stuff comes out of NYC while the standard beers are brewed at Victory?) --- You sure are right.:astonished:

Someone mentioned Alpenflo on the forums the other day, and I thought, "Damn, that was some good stuff and probably the Sixpoint beer I bought more of than any other (Coming in 12 packs probably helped with that). Haven't seen it in a long time, tho'. Would be nice to find some here in July...". And, on my next beer shopping trip, there it was! Flipped over the box and it was canned in January. WTF. To top it off, it also reminded me that they (ABV?) give it a ONE YEAR shelf life period. Ah, c'mon...

Well, he was running the place and that whole "Jammer" thing was started under his ownership, right? Took the money and ran...

I don't know, lots of brewers years ago were inspired by the great beers and brewing companies of the past. The modern "craft" brewer seems to be influenced by Smuckers and Howard Johnson "28 Flavors" Ice Cream.

I'd give up Stone, Ballast Point, and Rogue for The Alchemist.

While I've had good beers from them, the first three haven't lived up to their hype IMHO. Others must agree because they just age on the shelves here. Bell's would have been fourth.

Then why are my shelves loaded with blind pig?

My area has seen an influx of VT beers lately from Fiddlehead to Lawsons. I'll raise the stakes giving up those two, non-shitty high quality breweries. I'll throw in Zero Gravity as well for steady Alchemist supply.

Looking at CT, I want NEBCO in NY. I don't like driving the 20 minutes to the border. Take Brooklyn, and some overpriced NY beers like Decadent. I know Other Half isn't really distributed but enjoy the line parties.

I'd get rid of ANY 3 to get Russian River. We lost Bells last year, don't miss them so don't think I'd miss a few more.

It must be hard to get good beer in your shoes... Mayotte...What is that, just off the coast of Madagascar? Yikes. Allagash really does need to increase their distro.

Well we've already established that y'all are spoiled. But for real, are you guys getting regular RR distribution? They are probably close.to.two years into.their fancy expansion soaybe they're a much bigger brewery now than I realized

I'd trade 1/2 the breweries in Colorado for New Glarus. We have one on every corner so I probably wouldn't notice most of them were missing.

We used to get drops at least quarterly. Now its every other week. I had not seen damnation in years and came across it last month again. Pliny still Carrie's its hype and flies off the shelves in a day leaving behind my preferred blind pig. But yeah, we have always had russian river, and still do.

Yeah I lucked out on a trip to Telluride a few years ago, checked the RR site and they give a list of distributors. One was in Montrose, called and they gladly set aside (after some begging) a bottle of Elder for me. I would rather pay $5 to $6 for a bottle of Elder than the Maine beers that just entered Texas at almost $8 a bottle.

We have been getting Maine beers in Pennsylvania for a long time. They are high quality beers but the high prices keeps me from buying them.

    Cheers!

Yes they are, and if someone is willing to pay that, then good for them. There are beers on the shelf that are just as good. Now when restaurants open back up and I find myself heading downtown again, I will be willing to pay $9 or $10 for one of these where I might normally pay $7 or $8 for a local one. But we'll just have to see on that

    I hear you!

I just got back from food shopping and I decided to 'reward' myself and I bought a 6-pack of Two Hearted.

Hopefully Bell's will expand into Virginia soon.

    Cheers!
