Once again, I think someone forgot to tell you fellas that I’m not in this round....

@TheGent hit me with some tasty looking brews. He knows my odd love for Bolero Snort, so he sent me a couple of their new sours. He also added some padding which Included those Twin Elephant beers that I’ve been secretly spying. Thanks, Anthony! These will all be crushed soon!

Thanks @y2kawakami for this blind beer! Here are my thoughts with the reveal below. I was not close with the hops according to the UT description. And I was also technically wrong on the style

Look: Translucent deep gold / pale amber color, with a fair amount of haze. A finger of bone white head that settles to a thin layer across the top of the glass. Some spots of foam stick the glass. No visible carbonation. It looks like a NEIPA.

Smell: There is a lot of spearmint here. I’ve gotten that from S. Hemisphere hops like Nelson and Motueka before. Also a little herbal, piney, lemon pith and sweet orange citrus hops. Some bubble gummy sweetness. It smells like mostly old school hops. Nose still says IPA. Nice nose.

Taste: The herbal, earthy, piney and pithy hops continue. There is medium level of bitterness.

Feel: Medium of body and carbonation. Semi dry finish.

Overall: I love the nose on this IPA. It has a nice flavor that suggests some older school hops.

Honolulu Beer Works Pink Boots Pale Ale (Not IPA). Thanks Sean. I was not aware of this beer. I like the premise and learned about something called The Pink Boots Society.

Very unique hop combo: Azacca, El Dorado, Idaho Gem and Loral.

 

And today’s damage is courtesy of @Snrubnivek . He hit me hard with a tiny box of cans packed to the freakin gills!!! Uh, Monkish!!! Some cans of a favorite west coast brewery(Alvarado Street) made there way here along with a few new brewery ticks including my first SARA! Thanks, Kevin! Now I barely have any room in the beer fridge. Guess I better get to work.

There is no “next time”, but cans are most always my preference.That box you packed all that up in WAS really nice though. Such a nice vessel shouldn’t be wasted on a schlub like me. I’ll be sure to return it.....

 

This is a hell of a haul...digging the new labels on the No Rules bottles...too bad they are so damn elusive

Clarification to this hint. When I say half of my clues were lies, I mean it literally.
