How about a little Christmas in July?

 

Thank you, @BelgianFox, for this beautiful Duvel glass! I am getting ready for my trip to Los Angeles, CA, where all of my plans have been cancelled, except for drinking beer. I suppose that is for the best, as I learned from the Green Bay Packers this year that flying to California means not being able to do anything productive, anyway. I had an excellent flight schedule, which has been changed to horrible. At this time tomorrow, I will be on a long layover at O'Hare International Airport. Hopefully they are still serving beer. At least I hope to eat a couple Chicago-style hot dogs!

You may be disappointed to find few if any O'Hare bars or beer in the early morning. I believe the GI Bar is still closed due to COVID.

If you are flying out of of the C Terminal, Berghoff's bar may be open as they serve breakfast. Billy Goat in the food court has a limited beer menu but will be open, GI or Sam Adams the extent of "craft" you may find there. Love my visits So Cal beer visits, last hit just before the Rona lock-downs. Bottle shops may still be open after the latest closings, check out the Pacific thread for some great suggestions to help mitigate the brewery / bar closures.

Many great debuts to end the 1960s, One band launched a new musical genre, the other continued the work from earlier bands. While The Sex Pistols issued the most influential "One and Done" album, my favorite one album issue is my favorite, bitter sweet in the sense this band could have done amazing things if they had a few years. Eric Clapton had other interests, both personal and professional.

I took yesterday off as a cleanse day...busy morning so far...after chores, the exterminators came and retrieved their traps, and sprayed the yard with rat repellent...I’ve been corresponding with family/friends on various topics (including beer trading)...beer me - KBS:



Bottled 2/7/19. Cleaning out last year’s stash, and enjoying every sip...I should be drinking with my brothers/family back home today, but as you know, another trip canceled ...alas, have a Wild, Wonderful, West Virginia...er, Wild, Wonderful Wednesday, my virtual bar mates - Cheers!
