CANBIF: From the Cellar, 2020!

That is a solid list. Like teeth, I've always wanted to try 4D. And to get a variant! Two coffee beers too!

Third Moon and Reverence are the local breweries Ontario (particularly around Toronto) getting a lot of hype right now.

Mystery Saison is 2 year old mixed ferm saison homebrew. Hope you enjoy it!

 

Forgot to post when I shipped but my box should land early next week to someone in a provincial bubble. Hopefully the bubble customs don't slow it down!

I’ve already told @Electros, but I wasn’t able to send off until earlier this week. Apologies to my target. I was hoping it might arrive today, but it looks like it took forever to get out of Mississauga. You should see it next week.

 

Holy shit, a Pretty Things. Wow. What a treat to try that, like a Scotch from a distillery that doesn’t exist anymore. Cheers.

 

My target's box is finally saying it will be delivered tomorrow sometime! Hopefully it's accurate... I have been finding some inconsistencies here and there in other recent mail trackings.

Ok, great box landed on my porch today, hidden carefully in a Hakutsuru Sake box to make sure they knew it wasn't beer . All new to me, pretty extra-stoked about a few specific bottles (Epic is one of my fav breweries, brainless series is excellent, as is Dunham and that DDC variant is ). Well done, my palate is excited!

I'm going to guess based on posts, it was @Teethoflions?

There’s a long story behind this. The short version is, while I was away, instead of Canada Post redirecting the box to the nearest Shoppers for pickup, the property management company opened my unit, without notice, and never informed me. So, when I got home last Wed, there was a box waiting for me in the foyer. Hence, this explains why the box was reported as “delivered to door” by Canada Post and why neighbours did not see a box outside my door. Alls well that ends well. Here are the wonderful goodies that await:



Big, big thank you, especially for the Rare Barrel (love them) and the DFH 120 Minute. I haven’t had the latter for at least a decade, and of course Untappd wasn’t around back then. I remember that it was unique and epic, with an American barleywine intensity but very much an IPA.

Nay ,'twas not I. My earlier clue was probably too elaborate for people to decipher. I was referring to the Granite Brewery. Granite, who originated in Halifax, is no longer in operation. They originally started in Halifax in the mid-80s, and have a sister branch in Ontario that is run by a relative of the original founder.

 

After a bit of a fight with CP, my second box has landed. From a book seller on top of all things.

My pleasure... glad you were successful with Canada Post. They forecast a 2-week delay (!) because of the so-called incorrect address. Not funny - I had similar problems when you sent me beer previously. Canada Post has one thing to do and still has a hard time doing it.
