I posted and ISO:FT in Locals and also $4$ for this. I was just curious if this is difficult to find. I see that it is made by Pabst? My bib bro is looking for 24 cans of this to ship to Winston-Salem,NC. Thank you in advance for any assistance with this folks. Cheers

Yep. 3.8% abv with 110 calories. I'm all for watching my carbs and weight, but I'd probably just stop drinking beer before I'd drink this stuff.

Don't mean to put off the OP, if that's what he wants though.

Rainier is only 4.8% i think..buy a 6 of rainier and only drink 5. You have saved more calories than a 6 of Summit etc

Rainier Mountain Pale was brewed at the Red Hook facility in Woodinville which was closed down a couple years ago.

I had Summit a couple times last summer and actually really liked it. Thought it was a better tasting version of Rainier. YMMV.

Pabst had signed an agreement to buy that brewery but instead backed out of the deal and it wound up costing them money:
Well, like many of Pabst's mass market brands, it's brewed by Molson Coors while lots of their smaller brands are farmed out to a number of other breweries - the short-lived Rainier ales, PCT and Mountain Fresh session, were brewed by Brew Detroit. Pabst had announced they were going to start moving a lot of their brands out of MC's breweries and use City's breweries (Memphis, La Crosse, WI and Latrobe, PA) more.

The labels for the Rainier Light also actually say "Trenton, Ohio" - not sure how many mountains there are in MI or OH, but apparently they're still able to brew "mountain fresh" beer - go figure.

But most the MC Pabst labels are approved by the TTB to be brewed at their other breweries, too. Regular Rainier Beer appears to be labeled as being brewed in "Golden, CO" but it, like this Rainier Summit, had previously been out of MC's now-closed Irwindale, CA facility. According to reports a few months ago: Pabst Brewing to buy Molson Coors’ iconic Irwindale brewery...so the Rainier brands (along with former rival brand, Olympia) might again be "mountain fresh" from the hills of Los Angeles' eastern burbs, right off I-210. Makes sense, since City's breweries are all east of the Mississippi and when you sell cheap beer transportation costs are a big factor.

If the purchase goes through, it'll be Pabst's first real brewery since 2001/2002 when they closed their breweries in Texas (ex-Pearl) and Pennsylvania (ex-Schaefer/Stroh) to become what their management at the time even dubbed a "virtual brewer".

Where does Pabsts's "micro-brewery" come into all this " Captain Pabst"?

...according to a 2015 article in the local Milwaukee press, so pretty insignificant for a company that sells over 4 million barrels a year (of course, that's down from over 10 million barrels in 2000, their first full year owning the Stroh/Heileman portfolio).

Thanks, i guess the micro brewery could give them something to expand into wider production..i actually liked Pabsts bringing back old beers like Old Tankard Ale and Ballantines for a while.,

They give up on them so fast, tho' (and they never did "fix" the flagship Ballantine XXX Ale - it's a disgrace) - the current management believe in the "throw it up against the wall and see what sticks" new product philosophy - beside the Pabst Hard Coffee  I read recently they're coming out with Hard Tea (+20 years after BBC?).

But, then, they don't have much respect for any of their "heritage" brands:

I have seen the coffee beer too expensive for the market they seek.. Well i wonder what the point of having a micro brewery if not to develop good ideas..then i never was a business person!
