Added insight into 2% Beer Initiative = “sessionable”

Hopefully a resurgence of the dark mild

“the first was an English-style dark mild, but it did not carry the 2% Beer Initiative label…He sees enormous potential in expanding it to the market, though.”

Was it not 2% ABV, or did it simply not carry the label?

    Would love to see this.

Pretty sure that was copilot: taffy. It was 2.5% and it was delicious.

If they start putting these in gravity casks on a regular basis I'm going to start looking for work in Framingham!

Cheers to Jack’s Abby for the new variety 12 pack that replaces Blood Orange with Shipping Out of Boston. Great change and I know others here were asking for it a while back. I haven’t seen it in stores yet, but will be looking out for it as well as the Cut the Haze Brau pack.

    Yes!!

Also, is Cut Through the Haze coming back? I looked a few weeks after someone posted here and it was already gone.

Anyone had the new Jabby Brau yet?

I noticed it’s likely not the same recipe, seems to be stressed that it’s a hoppy lager and it’s 5.5% and not 4.5%.

It was really good. I’d describe it as pretty clean/crisp but also hoppier than what I think I remember about the original.

Copper Legend getting the 12pk treatment this fall. The horizontal tanks coming through.

This is a game-changer. 12-packs in general are a game-changer for me. Down with four-packs. Let me get 12's of River Trip, White, Santilli, Green State Lager, and now Copper Legend? Yup!

12oz cans are so severely underrated. Bring on the Copper Legend 12-packs!

I hate 16 oz. cans. But my only issue with 12 packs of 12 oz. cans is that I feel more guilty about breaking them up into singles.

But that's a me problem, I love grabbing multiple singles of different beers.

Any information on the newest 2% beer initiative release. It’s currently listed on their online store as farmhouse ale but that’s literally the only info I’ve come across.

I love 16oz cans for certain formats, particularly quaffable lagers. I almost always opt for the 6pk/16oz House Lagers over the more cost effective 15pk. Partly freshness, but mainly I think a 12oz of house lager will be gone before I really enjoy it.

Per Jack's Instagram account it's a 2.1% decocted "farmhouse table beer" w/ saison yeast and styrian aurora hops. Also notes it's "dry, spicy, can conditioned"

That's why you have 3 or 4 (which also could be a problem).

Found a "lost" Citra Brau in the back of the beer fridge from my Cut through the Haze pack. By far the best thing to happen thus far this weekend.

I usually agree with that sentiment, but just today I came home with another mixed 12 pack (second one in 2 weeks). Ever since they replaced that orange wheat thing with Shipping out of Boston they've made me opt for variety over the larger can size. Hopponius, Post Shift, House Lager and Shipping all in the same pack is just too much for me to resist. :sunglasses:

Shame that's the only one, I had a Lotta fun blending those, citra+galaxy was good, but they actually neeeed to package a Nelson+Citra brau, that was the winner for me, maybe add a little rye to the malt bill too? Just throwing it out there in case anyone at Jacks is reading.
