Inner space mezcal was awesome. I don’t even like tequila. The subtle heat on the back end of each sip was perfect. I thought I’d end up disliking it. I have no had one I even slightly disliked since I picked up my bottles. The hardest part is refraining from opening up more than one in a sitting

Popped a single malt Deep Space the other other night and its excellent. Manages to have that smokey scotch flavor without the intensity that a lot of scotch BA beers have. Can’t wait to pick up my Event Horizons - has anyone popped that one yet?

Not sure if photo downloaded but picked up 27 bottles this past w/e and event horizon was last bottle of 660 that I tried to post pic of and it was phenomenal for that high of an ABV - still working on it but very impressed so far

I picked my member bottles up last weekend as well. Figured I had a lot, but I was surprised when they brought it out and said this is box one of six!

First timer for me this year in any bottle society but I believe I chose wisely - I’ve been to the brewery before and have been impressed particularly with the barrel aged aged stouts and they continue to impress with BA inner space, BA peanut stay puft and as above event horizon that are all upper echelon beers that I have been fortunate enough to sample the last 3d - coconut phones to me tasted a little artificial to me (stool good) but that is compared to cycle/cigar city/angry chair coconut stouts I have had during winter trips to FL - but overall Barreled Souls has has some of the best beers around and I plan to be a long term bottle society member

I was the same way with Copestone from Fox Farm. Now I don't know if I like barleywine or just really good beer.

Went today to pick up my bottle society haul after a negative COVID-19 test (results in 24 hours — not bad!). Cracked open a stay puft tonight. It’s excellent, as everyone already knew I guess. Looking forward to my other 4+ cases. This is a terrific program.

Curious how exclusive the society is to join. Anybody know if people have been turned away for n prior years? Very intrigued and wondering what to expect.

I have not heard of anyone being turned away. The cost of entry if definitely worth the beers you receive as part of the membership.
That’s not including the access to limited releases and discount, etc.

Just pay attention to their social media. In past years, they posted about enrollment during fall.

Thx — I need a new source for exclusive beer like I need a hole in the head - but the releases sound so good....

Really excited for the BA Wisdom and V for Vanilla. More so for the wisdom, because it tasted pretty great at their anniversary party last year mid way through the process, and the fact I love old ales and not enough breweries make them.

@MattOC I'll trade my V for Vanilla glass for your CD10.

I feel this is even Steven, let me know.

For real, though. Been waiting for this old ale for a long, long time. Straight up beer aged in barrels, no adjuncts. I’m stoked.

Anyone crack an Event Horizon yet?
