Yeah not sure about OH secondary, but most TH i see is still something like c+s+2 per can. I’m guessing OH is similar.

Beer Cellar was charging $20 per 4-pack or $35 for a mixed six pack (so $5 up charge to separate and put together) which I had no problem with. (Bought the mixed 6-pack for the record)

Drank DDH Small Green Everything last night. It was very good. I'm glad I had the disposable income to buy these beers.

I only got one can of Broccoli and am glad I did not get more, especially at the price point.

    Nothing special at all.

It's special in that you can tell your doctor you have 2 servings of Broccoli every night and not get the third degree.

this latest drop paled in comparison to the previous one.

an easy pass for most of them considering the price and rankings as far as typical OH beers go

Yep all were perfectly fine but you’re right that you want something more out of a splash drop.

    From their brewery,
    $16 for IPA
    $18 for IIPA
    $20 for TIPA
    +$2 for DDH
    +$4 for HDHC

They have been sending their cans out bc of COVID to shops, and those shops tend to +$2, ones Manhattan will even put more of charge on them.

had to look this up. From the other half website:

“What’s HDHC? We wanted explore unnecessarily large hop additions using our new experimental Citra hop product, Citra Cryo and regular Citra pellets. HDHC is an acronym to denote this combo and it stands for High Density Hop Charge due to the extra high hopping rate. We are going for the biggest baddest aromatics we can and it represents around 15 lbs/bbl but with our combo of hop products its as smooth as ever.”

Even if this isn’t the best drop, I’m going to savour my mixed 6. I grew up right outside of NYC, and I miss all my friends there - I usually try to sneak back once a year, but it looks like I won’t make it this year...

I hear ya. I was supposed to do a trip in June where both the Mets and Yankees were home at the same time. It should have been a week of baseball, high level pizza, and OH/Interboro/Hill Farm/Grimm/Threes

Finback just opened their Brooklyn joint, halfway between OH and 3s... It was supposed to be a glorious summer. Oh well gotta make do with drinking a can with a slice on a park bench and cardboard cut out fans at the ballpark.

If you wanna expand your Baseball & Beer trip add Cooperstown and hit the breweries in the Hudson Valley and the Finger Lakes.

Went to Cooperstown as a kid but want to go back someday. I’ve had a couple of HV beers but need to try more sour IPA’s fresh. Thanks for the recs!

Oh meant the whole Hudson Valley region not just HVB... Suarez Family Brewing, Plan Bee, Industrial Arts, Sloop, Equalibrium, and more. If you time at the end of season you can also enjoy the leaves. Cooperstown is just as good as an adult, you able to appreciate the history a lot more.

Way off topic but I went to beacon for the first time to do some hiking last year and Sloop was one of the wildest taprooms i've ever been to. It was like an adult chuck e cheese with fantastic beer

It's in an old IBM factory, so if you're an electrical engineer then yes lots of wire strippers!

I have buyer's remorse and I haven't been able to go pick up my order yet. I'm sure there fine, and they'll certainly get me drunk!

All still qualify as “really well made” and wouldn’t make anyone mad if they were from HB or Phase Three. Just an expectations issue
