    Funkwerks Saison to start this hot Chicago summer Saturday.

    Didn't like the taste of this one, hoping the rest of the beers this weekend turn out better.

    Looking forward to WXRT's Saturday Morning Flashback in a few hours, 1988 is the featured year.

    Dogs walked/fed, morning chores done...let’s get this weekend started! Finishing off yesterday’s BBA “4 Fingers And...Raspberries, Chocolate &Vanilla” a/k/a “T-Sex” (2020) TBBW Tuesday, from Arkane Aleworks, Largo, FL:

    Delicious balance of sweet Pinellas Chocolate and strong raspberry presence. Not tart or overly sweet. “Thin” so easy drinking and no warmth from 12%

    Arkane is a newer local player in the Florida barrel aged and/or pastry stouts space, and it is on fire. It’s up there with CCB, Cycle, AC, and Hidden Springs. Of course in SEFL we have JBW and FB...no dearth of delicious drinking stouts here in the Sunshine state! Cheers and have a wonderful Saturday, y’all!

    This is a decent beer although IMO more of an IPA than a straight up “Milkshake IPA”. Cheers!

    The Benwood, a brand new hazy IIPA from Cigar City. Canned literally 9 days ago.

    Cigar City does IPAs well, obviously, but can they nail a hazy IIPA? My thoughts will be over on New Beer Weekend #1. Come join us - no need to wait until Sunday! :slight_smile:

    Masterful album. This would stand out as excellent if it came out today.
