Good morning! I’m drinking a FBS:



A bottle from the 5/11/20 batch. I’m up early with the dogs...gonna get our walk in before today’s rains hit...looks like the tropical storm in the Caribbean may be headed our way this week end...may have to stay indoors and drink beer. Cheers and have a thunderous Thursday!

 

Still on the clock but I'm delivering some sausages to a restaurant right next to Warpigs. They gave me a free sandwich and I decided I deserved a break and a beer after cycling through the city with a heavy load.

Frank the Tank by Warpigs, 5.3% ABV pale ale with a prosciutto and mozzarella sourdough-sandwich on the side. Not a bad workday at all. Cheers!

Bottled 2/7/19. Roast coffee, bitter sweet dark chocolate, just the right amount of bourbon. Some boozy warmth from 12.2%. Great breakfast beer. Cheers y’all!

Drinking Sierra Nevada Fantastic Haze

 

Dialing back the abv a bit at the virtual bar this early morning - Elysian’s “Space Dust IPA”:



I like the current iteration of Space Dust (admittedly never had the original) and I like it even more when it is a BOGO at my local Publix this week! An 8.2% DIPA that rocks my West Coast socks! Is it amazing? - no. Is it tasty, and this week, cheap? Heck yes! I got the last 6/pk and paired it with “Haze Contact” to get the BOGO...after tax, I paid about $1 a beer...bring on the rains, it’s a pool party time here in SWFL!

On vacation (theoretically). Starting the day with a fun, fruity Schöfferhofer Grapefruit Hefeweizen shandy. Guten Morgen!

I see you, and raise you... in for a penny, in for a pound...the other half of my this week’s BOGO - Elysian’s “Contact Haze” Hazy IPA:



Pours a pale gold minus with very good clarity; rocky white foam; good cap retention; solid ring; soapy lace; let’s be “clear” (pun intended) here, there is absolutely no “haze” to this beer...nose is lemon grass. Light bitter lemon zest and semi sweet malt base taste. Medium minus body, moderate carbonation. Overall, this is a weak ass commercial “hazy” IPA that isn’t hazy, that panders to a trend imo, and is basically a whimpy WC style IPA , which I like taste-wise, but let’s just call out a relatively flavorless WC commercial IPA for what it is...”meh”...

One of my favorite movies, and favorite dance routines...all three dancers were amazing, and as much as Donald “steals” some of the moments, Debbie keeps up and is cute as a bug! Gene, maybe undeniably, is the star..., and I watched recently on AMC - Thanks for the post!, and Cheers!
