Never even considered blending them. Really should have since I've taken to drinking house lagers 2 at a time in my HF lager mug.

Yeah agreed here. I like orange wheat beers on occasion (would be great today tbh) but that's always kept me from buying that mix. But now it's a great variety that scratches my usual itches. Would love smoke and dagger in there as well.

Honestly though I just really love House Lager. I love a lot of JA beers but that's where most of my money goes. Basically a perfect beer for me.

I'm a little confused. I see you can make reservations to eat at the beer hall/kitchen, but then I see this on their website:

*Draft Beer & Growlers Currently Unavailable Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic*

Does that mean they are only serving bottles with the food?

And what is Springdale Barrel Room? Is it currently closed?

    Thanks!

I will get that updated as we have recently gotten a lot of our beers back on draft, though some are still can only.

Springdale Barrel Room is closed for the foreseeable future, though we have made all of their offerings available at the Beer Hall.

The Cut Through the Haze pack kind of reminds me of that single hop Sam Adams “Deconstructed” Latitude 48 mix pack they did a number of years ago.

Never realized they’d replaced blood orange wheat with Shipping. Nearly snapped my neck as I done a hard double take this afternoon when looking at the JA options on the shelf.

Awesome move. the perfect summer mix 12

Anyone else pick up the new Jabby Brau? I know for a fact this isn't the same recipe as the one from back on Morton Street. It definitely feels distinctly hoppier (features Lemondrop hops) but it's pretty dang good anyway. I know the original JB had some cool variants and was featured in some of the Battle of the Barrels adjunct experiments that I really enjoyed. Takes me back...

I personally haven't snagged it yet.

What I liked about Jabby Brau back in the day was the fact that it was 4.5% ABV and WASN'T on the hoppy side, almost Helles like.

Might pick it up at some point, or maybe a single, we'll see. I haven't been a fan of the new "Brau" series either, so that's another reason I'm hesitant.

Nothing wrong with any of these, just not my cup of tea.

The brewery is your best bet, since the program is generated from the pilot system. Nonetheless, there seems to be some optimism in extension

To add to @M-Fox24, JA pilots a lot of their beers before they hit full distribution. I know that there were several pilots of Post Shift, which was just Pilot Pils or something, before they scaled up and made it what it is today. It's definitely cool to try the early iterations and see what they become.

We brewed another pilot batch of it last week. So expect it to be available at the brewery in ~3 weeks.

That's great! Thanks so much. I really hope I get a chance at it. In the summertime, I would much rather drink two 2.5% abv beers than one 5% abv beer.

2% farmhouse was very good, though not as impressive as the pilsner for me. Flavor profile was spot on for the farmhouse, but the body on the farmhouse didn't belie the 2% abv in the manner the pilsner did; i could've guessed the farmhouse was lower abv interpretation, couldn't do that with the pils. Look forward to more beer in this series though, fascinated by the use of decoction mashing for the project.

I 100% agree. The pilsner was one of the best beers I have had this year.

I'm drinking the farmhouse ale now and I like it better than the pils. I'm also a hard luck fan of grisettes which are practically extinct so I may be biased.
