We have a local that brews a lemongrass peppercorn wit and it is a nice refresher for sure.

There is a ‘relationship’ between the Pilsner Urquell (Plzeňský Prazdroj) and Velkopopovický Kozel (Pivovar Velké Popovice) breweries in that they are both owned by Asahi Breweries Co.

I am personally unaware of dark beer branded as Pilsner Urquell but there is a Czech Dark Lager produced by Velkopopovický Kozel:

    “Velkopopovický Kozel Černý

Part of the Pilsner Urquell group of breweries, Kozel’s food-friendly dark lager is probably the most widely available tmavé pivo around the world.”

While at the U Buldoka (Bulldog) pub I enjoyed a ½ liter glass of “Velkopopovický Kozel Černý:

I also had a blend of “Velkopopovický Kozel Černý and Pilsner Urquell:

Maybe the beer above, since it does include Pilsner Urquell, can 'count' as a Pilsner Urquell Dark?

    Cheers!

It would be cool if someone would make an IPA, except bitter and relatively clear.

BBA IPAs. Years ago Foothills experimented with them on tap at the brew house, as a fan of beer and whiskey the bourbon was very prevalent. Damn near opaque and it was hot and delicious, anything worth doing is worth overdoing. I thought it phenomenal, but if you don't like whiskey you wouldn’t like it. I think they’re core beers are not worth the drive although they’re good beers, I’d drive for the BBA IPAs.

Would like to see more of the original versions in general but a Dark Grodziskie and dark lichtenhainer would be cool. Also a lighter or “white” Rodenbach. And then add yellow cherries to make the Alexander version.

Tallgrass did a ginger peach saison a while back. (That brewery is now closed, and that beer is listed under "Archived.") It was pretty damn good, as I recall.

Not quite what you 're asking, but Mantra Artisan in Tennessee puts out a milk stout called Japa which is very chai-ish.

I'm waiting for the variant of beer that shows up on my doorstep unbidden, preferably with a pizza.

    Oh, and US-made doppelbocks.

OK - Just gonna reel shit back in here. Do ya seriously think that there are more made up styles that deserve their own category?? Wake up call - it's all been done, nothing is new - add some weird f..ing shit to an already existing style doesn't make a new style ,it just bastardizes an already recognized style. I'm getting a little or a lot tired of this nonsense. There you have it -agree or not. Cheers.:sunglasses:

RIP Ruthless Rye, though didn’t it make a variety pack comeback. Yards used to brew a rye ipa called rye. It was so good, doubt it ever makes a comeback though.
