What beer are you drinking now? #2842

2SP Up, Up & Away. not a huge fan. there are NE-style beers at this abv or higher which are much better and dont rely on so much sweetness

 

Great Central Brewing Pilsner. Perfect for summer.

Fair State Double Universe DNEIPA, 8.6% ABV. Pours yellow, with a nice four-finger white head that left decent lacing. Nose is pine, orange/tangerine, and pineapple, taste follows with moderate sweetness and slight bitterness. Excellent mouthfeel, overall world-class.

Glad this didn't suck since I took the risk of buying a pack instead of a single. It's been a productive weekend, helping my son install a water softener in his house. I used to hate plumbing, but doing it with PEX (tubing) and the right tools is like playing with legos.

 

Don’t get me started on Sabro. Like drinking sunblock.

I didn't even want to get into it on that thread, especially after having to POUND a couple of $6 cans because the coconut was so prominent just the day before and I couldn't take it. I've noticed a lot of breweries are pushing Sabro, most likely because it's so "seasonal".

 

Went well with NY strip and shrooms. Don't think I'll ever get tired of Guinness.

Probably the last baby shower drink, again first in a decade or so. Stella's not bad.

 

I just finished the dishes, really racking up some good boy points today.

My wife calls this my candle pins for cash glass because it kind of looks like a candle pin. If you grew up in these parts back in the mid ‘70s this show was a staple at dinner time. The host was a Boston sports caster that ran a foul of the law, as they say, later on in life.

I made Shrimp and Pappardelle Aglio e Olio for dinner at the Mr’s request

 

Damn tasty after helping neighbor clean-up a fallen mature pecan tree this am, and a ton of errands this afternoon.
