    Busted my balls to get freed up for Sunday happy hour at my fave bar, BA! Drinking local today with Breaker's Extrinsic Thought Waves. From the site....



    Extrinsic Thought Waves IPA - Imperial / Double New England

    9.1% ABV

    79 IBU
    Double IPA brewed with Flaked Oats, Pilsen malt, and White Wheat then hopped and double-dry hopped with Mosaic, Nelson Sauvin, and Motueka hops. Tropical notes of a tangerine and pineapple fruit salad served in white wine.

    Other Half DDH Ain’t Nothing Nice IPA (Simcoe, Galaxy, Mosaic dry hopped with Galaxy pellets and Mosaic lupulin powder). Ripe passion fruit, yellow grapefruit, ripe blueberry, ripe strawberry, lychee, guava, lemon, slight lime, Simcoe cat piss, grass, slight pine resin, slight dankness. Still juicy, but not as sweet as expected. Quite dry and a firm bitterness as you get into the finish. As many say about Other Half, the body and feel to this one is immaculate. Super soft, lush, and creamy. Impressive.

    Sparkling clear light gold colored body; excellent carbonation; very dense and rocky white head. An interesting aroma of yellow pitted fruit and citrus; grape-like and herbal. Light cereal grain flavor with a mild hop bitterness; a bit of estery quality lurking about. Medium-light body; soft and velvety with a gentle sweetness overall.

    This beer brings nice balance and flavor to the palate. Easy drinking and nicely rounded with a variety of flavors.

    Good afternoon, all! I'm drinking this, and - judging from all the vitriol that was thrown around here when this was released - you're not: DuClaw Sour Me Unicorn Farts, a sour ale brewed with fruity cereal and edible glitter. This is pretty good. I'm getting hints of bubblegum and Fruity Pebbles, but those flavors are not overpowering and they complement the sourness quite nicely. I'm heading out to grill some Memphis-style chicken wings. We'll see how well they pair up. I have high hopes.

    It literally sold out at all 3 locations within minutes of its release. My guess: Not everyone who ordered showed up, potentially leaving some cases for availability on Tuesday morning. If I were you, I would log on to their Toast Tab at 9am and find out. This one is a can't miss.

    Tripel Horse from River Horse is a decent tripel, but leans a bit too far to the bitter side for the style, I think.
