I am not a big "blues guy", but I do appreciate good music and Steve's show has many great songs you won't hear elsewhere. Glad to have caught all of the above at least once back in the day.

Hop Butcher Bughouse Square DIPA (Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe, Nelson Sauvin). Just as good as the first batch of this. Complex hop juice. Orange sherbet, orange gummi, pineapple sorbet, sugar-coated ruby red grapefruit, lemon, ripe peach, herbaceous dankness, bright white grape, ripe lychee, ripe mango, lime zest, bright floral, grass, pine. Such an outstanding NE DIPA. Top 5 beer by these guys for me. Shows off the four hops in a balanced and complex fashion. Wow!

the go to. I have mostly stopped drinking but I needed this pick me up because ya boi Erik aka large spicy took a concrete nap due to heat exhaustion today. High of 98 in good ol philly. Working on a ‘97 Chevy lumineer to swap the battery. You’d think it’s simple enough. Took me an hour and a half because it was under a rusty metal strap tie down and also under the washer fluid reservoir which required an unplug for a removal caused me dumping fluid everywhere dog. Ghetto rigged a secondary tie down and I said fuck it and ripped the plastic fasteners out pronto. Owed the man new ones. Sweated thru my clothes like I jumped in the Schyukill, my clothes were still wet three hours later still working. Anyhow......next thing I knew arms went numb and I went deaf and out I went.

I lived. I’m good lmao. All good.

Oh boy, I didn't have a clear picture in my mind of what I wanted to drink next, so I asked the miraculous Mrs. snaotheus to surprise me with a mystery beer, so you unlucky folks get to see me embarrass myself again...

In the meantime, the show has progressed to the Bar Stool Preachers...




It's dark but not hazy. Small head. Smell is maybe scotch ale or Porter. Toffee, nuts. Taste is not the same. Tastes like a dark lager. More toffee and a hint of nut. Yeast. Wonder if it's the Chuckanut Dunkel that was in the fridge. Mouthfeel's fairly light. Overall, enjoying.
