What Beer Are You Drinking Now? #2843

Hot out today. After a day of running errands, groceries, yard work. Time to relax and enjoy the air conditioning. This is every bit as good as I had hoped it would be. Someone in the "Pacific -- Alvarado Street" forum posted how excellent this was. I can't argue. This is legit.

 

Cigars with the brothers in law and nephew, father in law is with us, and so far we’re avoiding politics and news.

 

2 months and still tastes great.

 

Glad to see this is the 2nd straight Equilibrium DIPA can I’ve had that tastes fantastic. I was getting a little worried. 2nd birthday party in 3 days for the youngest in the books.

 

My last beer from Rebel Kettle. Possibly the last time a RKBC beer will ever be posted on this site. Very sad... The new East Sixth Brewery has not been impressive so far.

 

That along with Marshall Zhukov are my white wales. I need to trade the very best I have in order to get my hands on these. Enjoy sir. I am green with envy.

 

Phase Three DDH Amarillo/Vic Secret Creme DIPA (oats and lactose). Very solid version of the series. Ripe white peach and passion fruit stand out. Pineapple and tangerine are there too. Super soft and creamy per the usual. It’s the middle of the pack compared to the other Creme series, which is still quite respectful imho.

My brother bought me a box of beers for my birthday in June from a beer-delivery service. He apparently inadvertently made it a repeat order, so I got another box, featuring this beer. I really like this beer! I decided to drink another one, since we are all about to witness how silly it is that there is even a debate on if James Harden is worthy of consideration for Giannis Antetokounmpo's annual MVP award. Giannis is used to getting physically punished, as the league's best player, but now he is just delivering pain to everyone in his way, with the approval of the referees. I love it!

 

Nice shot. I like it. Never had the pleasure of having this one from Hill Farmstead, but this looks delicious. Enjoy!

So I thought for awhile and couldn't come up with a reason to age this Tropicalia for 2 weeks while we're away....so it's in the glass ....now......

Bad Wolves did the song without Dolores and donated $250,000 to her kids, class act.

 

For me personally, 2015 BCBS, the 14.7% ABV version that was available in California was and is the standard bearer in terms of Bourbon Barrel Aged beers. Fresh it was delicious, aged to perfection up to 4 years. I wish I had bought more. I could not hold on until 5 years. No other BCBS has come close except 2018. 2019 was good fresh, and I have high expectations on this, but doubtful it will be up to the 2015 BCBS. Glad you got to try both.
