It's incredible. Absolutely incredible. I wasn't sure the regular alien church can art could be topped but this one may do it.

Yeah, man. Typically, beers with the “DDH” tags do not meet the hype for me. It’s usually nothing but a marketing gimmick. Call this whatever you want though, it’s the best “new” IPA I’ve had all year.

I’d even put this up against Julius or Green any day; it is that spectacular (and coming from me that says a lot....I’m an unabashed Massachusetts homer ). Buying one four pack was a mistake but I’m happy I got my hands on some.

Stoner's still had some. Ferm is out
Fyi. Thank you for the heads up. I was on the fence and got some based on the rec.

Wild reviews of DDH Alien so far, might grab some at St Oner’s if they’re still available tomorrow. Enjoying this Three Smile Mask now, saw Nelson and had to grab this one.

They are available on Instagram story. I imagine though you'd do well to order as soon as the website let's you given the hype and the ferm being out. I think noon?

Worth every bit of hype it’s getting. If you’re a fan of regular AC, this amplifies the hop flavor enough while still retaining that signature balanced bitterness it’s known for. Bow down!

Just had a can. I gave it a 4.25. To me it's on par with a really fire batch of normal Alien Church. We had at least one of those this Spring during quarantine; I think it was in mid-April.

It's good but I don't agree with the hype. I also don't understand the "Tree House level!" comments. A really good tired hands IPA has always been on the same level as Tree House, IMO. I think that if Tired Hands just called this a brand new beer, we would acknowledge it as being very good without rating it 4.75+ like this one.

Has this DDH version been added as a beer on BA?

To each their own as always. FWIW, I haven’t been to Tired Hands as much as I have Tree House. Tired Hands is relatively new to me in comparison, so I used Tree House as a comparison. A lazy comparison, sure, but it was the first that came to mind.

I’ve had some good Alien Church batches but nothing close the level of the DDH one I had. I’m sure you’d have a much better frame of reference than I. Guess that just means I should drink more Alien Church then

(Death Tripper is my current green replacement btw....amazing beer.)

Yep. Citra and galaxy dry hopped version. Will be interesting to see if they rotate different DDH hops considering neither of those are in the base of Alien Church

Have not tried it yet but plan to tonight. Agree with what your saying in regards to Treehouse. Multiple Tired Hands IPAs are on par with Treehouse....Punge immediately comes to mind. If you put a treehouse can label on Punge it would be a Top 100 beer on BA.

I will have to try this batch of death tripper. That's typically a good but nothing special one for me. They usually can it a few times each year. Eviscerated Pathway of Beauty and Punge are my top two, for what it's worth. I recently ranked their rotational IPA releases here: https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/tired-hands-2020.631181/page-7#post-6907813

Thanks for the tips, I’ll have to keep an eye out for those two especially. For whatever reason I was late to the party and didn’t start going to TH on occasion until late 2018. Big mistake on my part, but I’m glad that things have calmed down hype-wise compared to the infamous lawn chair lines of yesteryear. I’m just so happy that we have a reasonably close brewery nearby that makes so many great beers so often and do it at a relatively consistent level.

Also, I had my first Ourision a few days ago and it was definitely worthy of the praise. Clearly TH can do it all it seems

I did leave it out. I have only had it once...Until this year I don't think I realized it had such a cult following.

I have no clue how excited to be for this Black is Beautiful release (the beer itself, of course I'm happy that Tired Hands is participating in the charity). I'm not sure I can recall even having tried a blended barrel-aged release... obviously it's just going to have a lighter barrel component, right? And Tired Hands stouts are kinda iffy in my book generally.

I cannot recall a barrel-aged stout from THBC can you? However, i am still looking forward to this and to Gatherer 2020!!
