SP doing the right thing refunding and redoing this disaster of a release. In no way blaming them, but LC only FCFS for a beer three years in the making that was supposed to be onsite only and then this happens!

 

can you share what else y’all were able to buy today?

Is it the right thing to take them away from people that did get through though? It was the same shitty system, some people got in and some didn't, how is it different than doing it again tomorrow and some people getting through, while some dont?

I'm just asking to start a discussion... I didn't get one today but I have buddies who did and they're going to be pissed if they miss out on the redo, and I don't blame them.

It's only beer in the end... But it just seems the loudest people won today (see: the people throwing a fit on the LC Facebook page)

 

Although the email makes it sound like they don't know who actually got them and who didn't and who got more than 1. Wow

 

My order shows up on craftpeak now that it’s back up so they might be able to see everything now

 

i have a feeling SP will get the invoices soon enough once Craftpeak's crappy webhost catches up. I find it a bit hard to believe that people managed to get multiple bottles but w/e...

I am one of the few that did manage to get my bottle (right when the email went out) and am a bit bummed it will be refunded. I have a feeling another sale (especially with an announced time) will yield the same chaotic result but here's hoping it wont. c'est la vie

I wish I knew what most of you were talking about. Damn work getting in the way of beer life!

 

I was able to get all the way through the checkout, saw my order confirmation on the web page, and saw the email. I agree that the same thing is most likely going to happen on a redo, and I don't see how people got multiples. I ordered mine, and then went back to the webpage before it crashed and it said "you've already purchased this item" so it was functioning as normal. I wish if people got an email, even if it went through more than once, they should get to keep the one bottle, sort out the duplicate orders, and then put the rest on sale for the people who didn't get one initially. I even texted my buddy in la coterie after this whole thing started happening "I hope they don't cancel everything and redo it" cause I had an unfortunate feeling that was where this was going due to the loud voices coming out in the fb group.

 

Cory made a post clearing it up a bit in the LC page. Sounds like a total disaster and it even crashed other brewery stores on Craft Peak in the process.

Sounds like it was a legit disaster for them as they couldn't even get in to stop it and had to let it run its course. Here is to a (hopefully) smoother process next time for us all!

 

But back to the real story of the day: Rye BBT

 

I’ve seen so many payment processing messages that say “do not hit back or refresh this page or you may be charged twice” that I don’t doubt people accidentally submitted multiple orders.

sounds like a lottery is in your future haha. this is the only time i think a lottery is a good idea, since there's a finite number of entries. its working well for MT apparently

also i find it fascinating that CdC's was meant to go to the public. Makes sense b1 went to the club since even that was 1pp. that would have been a shitshow online sale for sure

 

Based on Cory's response to lottery questions, I'd say it's doubtful.
