Now the tracking is showing as if delivery was attempted but "gate". There is no gate in my building and I've been here all day. Now they're closed.

I spoke to Matthew and said they filled the King Citra order, and that GLS would probably try again monday.

Great to have beer sitting in the heat for two days.

And this after a $230 dollar Other Half box sent by my cousin got damaged and didn't get delivered, and my claim didn't go through because they found it was beer.

Fieldwork is great at making things right when something comes up, however they’ve done this before with overselling cans. I’d rather not have to deal with hassle and headache and just get it right the first time. However, nothing but good things to say about everything else.

Yeah, Matthew was cool and on top of things. I just hope this doesn't end up with me getting diminished beer as a result of heat plus unrefrigeration for days. I think hazy IPAs are insanely fickle in this regard.

Opened up a King Citra yesterday and I have to say, it definitely lived up to the reviews in this thread. One of the better IPA's I've had all quarantine. I also got Sound Parade, and it was good but nothing special in my opinion.

Looking forward to the upcoming beer review of KC. Being local to Fieldwork in Norcal, I am always interested in how it compares to the Socal hype haze.

DDH Pulp was one of my favorites of 2019. King Citra has been in my regular rotation for several years.

    Old pic..haha..

My 1st encounter with the King Citra was in MRY back in 2018 during a heat wave back in OC/LA area. 2nd time was last year at City Beer. And now a third time. Only had DDH Pulp one tine back around....don’t remember when.

Having a King Citra right now. It's excellent; quite orange/tropical, very juicy, with a nice bitter backbone. It's also got a bit of hop resin heat coming from the nose and in the aftertaste, which I personally enjoy. Dankness begins to come out as it warms up a little, as others mentioned. But it is not the oily diesel dankness you get from ASB, but more of that fresh hop leaf green character, which reminds me a bit of some monkish offerings, though definitely more assertive with the bitterness.

A really delicious, excellent beer. It's my first real Fieldwork and I can see these guys being on top of the hop Cali haze game alongside ASB, Monkish, Sante, and Cellarmaker. I'm not sure how Green Cheek is handling the haze these days. Haven't had North Park yet, but I get the feeling their West Coast offerings are where they excel. I thought Humble Sea and Moonraker were quite meh. HPB is great for WC, but their hazies are too inconsistent.

Ya all know I love my Pulp and DDH Pulp but this is like amping those two gems up ten fold. From the color of the pour to the insane aromatics this is all about oranges. Take your pick, Tangerine, Mandarin, Navel, hell even those cute little cuties are somewhere in here. KC is perfectly balanced to allow the pithy bitter hop bite to accentuate all that sweet orange goodness. This finishes really long, dry and bittersweet. Simply an amazing batch of King Citra.

    Cheers,

So thankful for the shipping option for us So Cal folks. I would be more than happy with a fridge full of Monkish and Fieldwork for my hoppy options.

    Cheers,

Haven't had Tiger Uppercut in years. Ordered 8 cans in hopes it is as good as I remember.

Reviews so far is that I won't be disappointed. People still really like it. A lot.

Did FW release barrel aged Eliza and Viking's Lament this year? They didn't do them for SFBW as usual and when I asked them they said "later this year," but I haven't seen a release. Might have missed it.

Definitely did Vikings Lament, sometime in the last 2-3 months, I think.

I had one of my two cans of Viking's Lament on Friday. It was absolutely delightful.

Having a can right now, and I think this is a terrific batch. Bright & fresh citrus aroma, nice full body/feel with a little pleasant hoppy bite. Count me with those really liking this a lot.

I've been waiting for an Eastside Motel release, but apparently they retired the name and haven't come up with a new one. I was told to watch for the Citra and Blanc hop bill in a beer. Well, that sucks.

    Retired it?

Yeah, it has been awhile on EM. That was a good one. Looking back, it was around July 2017 when it was in the regular rotation..
