    Ah, sometimes you just need to go for a classic Pilsner. Maybe not the best there is out there, but still one that’s quaffable as can be and doesn’t knock you out so early.

    There's been some off-and-on discussion about King Sue lately, including a potential bad batch. This one is 2 1/2 months old, brewed in IA, and smells great!

    Tastes pretty darn good, too. Not peak, obviously, but nothing wrong with it. Shouldn't have an issue killing the four pack (not right now, obviously :grinning: ).

    That bad batch was 6/3, and they know it. Supposedly my recall check is in the mail. Waiting now for something canned in at least July; glad to hear you have some good cans there.

    I'd definitely prefer fresher cans, that's for sure. I didn't get to pick this one out. But it's good enough. :slight_smile:

    Cold evening in Chicago, 54 F, so closed the windows. Still cold this morning, so grabbed this Lake Effect Summer Porter (unlabeled, purchased at the small Chicago brewery) to start the day.

    Dilirium Argentum 'Hopped Amber IPA Beer'. Had no high expectations of this to be honnest. Tried it just out of curiosity.
    But it is really not bad at all. I would call this a Double IPA in a blind test.
