    Perhaps it would be best to characterize it as "German WCIPA" and it does that very well with its medium, grainy, caramel backbone and rather herbal and somewhat spicy and resinous, as well as fruity hops.

    I'm not sure if it's nostalgia or has something to do with the ABInBev takeover a while ago, but this isn't quite what I remembered it to be. While it was never great, especially for the self-proclaimed style, it was one of the first IPAs that got me into craft and I just remember it having a lot more distinct grapefruit character and less grainy malt.

    I am continuing to drink excellent beers, while it rains! I am not sure exactly where on the really good versus ack scale this beer falls into, but it sure is delicious!

    Hazemama NEIPA from Great Lakes Brewery (Ontario, not Ohio). 7% ABV and 35 IBU. Very tropical and quite assertive. This is an outstanding NEIPA from one of the best breweries in the province. Will definitely be picking up much more of this. Listening to Ghosts Of The Great Highway by Sun Kil Moon, which is the band Mark Kozelek started after retiring Red House Painters. An exceptional album. Cheers.
