    Good morning fellow advocates.

I know, it’s early. Previous thread died about two hours ago, in the meantime I already endured a nice 5km walk while it’s still cool. Yes, this afternoon we better stay in the shades.

Gouden Carolus tripel, well deserved after this little hike:

Some pictures from my weekend in Normandy, and Veule les Roses, quite pretty village... enjoy!

    Certainly was! Thanks buddy.

And another beer or second round for me. Something fruity and cold. Kasteel rouge.

It’s now a bit over 95F so I’ll try to enjoy this one and have maybe another one later tonight.

Stay cool and have a good one, all.

    Hike.

Very nice @Shanex, I got one in today already too. It was only 65 degrees F here. Clear blue skies. Pine trees. Good stuff. It will be nasty hot later....no thanks.

And, yes, Club Raul shutdown a bit early, being a Monday and all. But here's a Troegs Perpetual from the sixtel, after that walk I just took. This will turn into a nice shower beer.

    Cheers!

Celebrating the final day of the Dog Days of Summer...coffee inside because it’s already 90° and humid as all get out - FBS:

Bottled 6/13/20. Poured at 58°. Strong bitter roast.

Maybe an hour of working in the garage this morning, then I’ll call it quits. Little by little we are moving out of our storage unit, and into our “new” 1957 house...looking forward to cooler days to come. Have a magical Monday y’all, and Cheers!

Been a crazy time since I last posted . Within two hours of my second and final beer of the day, a massive storm passed through Chicago at 4, and I lost power until the past hour. Over a half a million people were without power for an extended period, hopefully all are able to return to the grid today.

This beer is most satisfying as I go through the clock / radio resets and refrigerator check. Beers still cool, means I'm still cool.

Stay safe and thirsty my friends.

Two for Tuesday fears no storm

82 degrees now, supposed to be 100+ this afternoon. It might be a dry heat, but it is still f***ing hot.
Cleaning out the fridge so I can put more beer in it.

A solid 1 1/2 hours out in the garage...I’m drenched! It’s 94° and 63% humidity, so the “feels like“ is a barely doable 100°. A cool down beer on the patio (under the fan) with King Sue:

Canned 6/12/20. And fine. The liquor store is getting fairly regular deliveries of TG; I passed on a 4pk dated 7/13 yesterday ‘cause I got beers to drink, and more on the way...off to the showers!

Glad to see Aardwolf canning...I wonder if it is going to distro to Tampa/St. Pete?...

I don't know what their distro is like. They've been canning for a while, but it's almost exclusively been their lighter beers (e.g. cherry gose, German-style lagers, Belgian pale ale) and IPAs. This is the first time I've seen them canning stouts.

For me, the big draw is the price point. I didn't pay much attention, but I'm sure a four pack of 16 ounce cans is going to run cheaper per ounce than the equivalent amount of the same beer in 22 ounce bombers.
