I will be in Fort Collins 13-19 August. Where should I visit, driving so can stock up on bottles/cans. I can bring Moksa member bottles, Sante Adarius member bottles, Urban Roots or other Nor Cal bottles/cans to share or trade. Been to Weldwerks and will stop again. My daughter just moved to Fort Collins so will visit often.

Supermarket Liquor is probably my favorite spot in town for ‘shelfie bois’.. selection is great and the prices are probably the best in town, combined with it not being exactly in the city so the sales tax is lower.

You’ll find weldwerks cans there.. their bottle choices are pretty diverse and have all sorts of breweries represented.

I miss being on that side of town all the time lol

Wilbur’s is fine for selection, but most of the people there are inexplicably throbbing dicks whenever I’m there and I’m definitely not the guy that is sensitive to that hahahahaha... they truly don’t have the variety of Supermarkets, but their location might be more convenient for some.

If you haven’t been to Purpose and/or Zwei, those would be on my short list. Also- Tap and Handle is THE beer bar of beer bars.

I would add that Tap & Handle is selling their bottles to go as well and their bottle list is usually extremely good. Might be a markup, but COVID rules are letting restaurants/bars sell beer to go when they normally could not.

Looks bananas to me. I generally go for fresh hops so I’m not typically looking at the bottle list.. I’ll say the markup is insignificant compared to retail price for most it seems, especially considering you will not find many of these anywhere else!

They’re selling growlers and mason jars of their draft offerings as well...

Can I take a moment to point out that you’d be supporting a great local business who’s owners and staff are flat out amazing people?

Funkwerks, Horse and Dragon, Jessup Farm, Purpose, and Zwei are all nice and good beers.

Tap and Handle for sure. But hit up Choice City for food before.

To be as small as it is, Ft. Collins has one of the best beer scenes anywhere. It's easy to overlook that since the hype train traveled a little further east. Yet, the amount of good to great breweries/bars in that close of proximity might be unmatched.

Piggy backing on your thread. Headed up that way this weekend. I've been to most of the better known options up there (NB, Odell, Equinox, Jessup, Zwei, Purpose, Funkwerks, Horse & Dragon, Black Bottle, sure I'm missing one or two), but anyways thinking of hitting somewhere I haven't been. Any strong opinions on ones I didn't list - Intersect, Gilded Goat, Snowbank, Maxline, or any I didn't list that are killing it?

    Thanks!
    Ben

intersect really flies under the radar imo, but they make some quality beer and feature a significant variety. Tramps Like Us is an excellent example of a NEIPA, though I’m not crazy about their west coast options... they have a few lagers typically that are always on point. Not a fan of kettle sours personally, but my babe really digs their offerings.

the other places mentioned are solid but I’d peep Intersect if you only have time for one.

Heading up in a couple weeks. I have Zwei, Purpose, and probably Jessup (mostly because I have never been) on the list. Will most likely visit some old favorites like Odell and Funkwerks, but what about places like Gilded Goat and Maxline? Worth it?

Are any of the distilleries better than the others? What about restaurants with large patio spaces? the Mrs and I would prefer to be outside . . . We lived there a long time ago, but its been ages since we have been back.

Tap and Handle has a great, spacious patio.. tap and bottle lists are always amazing and the food is really good bar type stuff.

Maxline is a nice spot with a solid patio that doesn’t make anything too crazy/trendy, but typically nails what they’re going for imo.. especially love Pat’s Porter. GG is okay, but lacks any considerable patio space if that’s a concern for you people.
