Was in the area and popped into the brewery today hoping to get some Whip. Online store showed it available (and still does) but was told it sold out. Luckily consolation prize was they had some Frusta they had held back. Rounded out with some Andres, battle of mo Monmouth and this town.

Maybe it’s available delivery only?

 

Oh wow. Wish I had known about that Frusta. I was up in the area not long ago and I would’ve swing by had I known there were still some available. Lucky you

 

Stopped by Roger Wilco Pennsauken today in hopes of getting some Whip. No dice. They did get a case of Wedge Issue though. Bummer.

That's what I get for not ordering on Monday I guess...South Jersey gets the shaft again lol

 

Not to complain but...here in Somerset County we have to order on Tuesdays and it seems almost every new release comes out Wednesday. However, I did score some Wedge Issue at Wegmans. Between the first one and this one, these are my favorite Carton DIPAs by far. Good stuff.

 

Made a quick run to Carton today - very happy that they added to my summer of lagers. Picked up This Town, Joe B Town, Canyon (and couldn’t resist one of my top two dubviants, 07750). Maybe my first time trying Canyon and damn if it isn’t tasty. Don’t get the 76 (okay) rating here. First of all, it’s really good. Second of all, looking at the ratings, most of them are upper 3s to 4s, so I also literally don’t get how that math checks out to that rating.

Is SS 2020 brewery only? I saw a couple people ask in their IG post, but there were no answers.

 

I feel like you never know with carton. Sometimes they say it will distro then it sells out and doesn’t. Sometimes they say no and then it pops up places later. I don’t know if it’s possible to get a definitive answer ever.

 

Thanks. My wife goes to Jersey for work once a week, so I guess I'll have to call a few places by her job next week and see if any of them got it.

 

so here's the thing on this. we never answer yes and it sells out or yes and it pops up. not all places order all beers we offer and there isn't always enough of a beer for every place to get it every time.so there is almost never an easy answer.
the only person that answers "yes" or "no" is me and more often than not i ignore it because the answer can change as i give it. some places sell 5 cases of beach in an hour and some places sit on wedge issues for a week after we drop them. if i say "yes" that means it was offered outside the tasting room, and if i answer "no" it's because it was only by us or an event, back when events could happen.
then there are things like dubviants and this town and frusta which have dynamics to how they are offered and then there are changes as we grow batch sizes and a million other things that affect what the distro looks like beyond the simple "is it distro-d"?'
so the best answer really always is "just put your zip into https://cartonbrewing.com/find-our-beer/ and ask your locals if they have or are getting it" which is an auto fill on my phone for the question when i do answer

 

All I know is I just wanna crack that Whip. I want to impress Devo.

 

just found some Whip in the wild... Gary's in Madison... looked to be only 1 6er left after I grabbed mine. they also had whaler and the latest wedge issue if anyone in the area is looking...

 

This years SS 2020 is fun-fucking-phenomenal. I enjoyed every sip of it. Everything between the body (it's between lower mid-mid), bitterness (it's there but it doesn't annihilate your taste buds either like last year ) and just the fun factor of drinking it, hit's all of my S spots. It's just fucking enjoyable.

Carton releases Tangled Up, barrel-aged Sundae and a TIPA collab with OH today. Almost always the day after my county orders! Might have to make the trip again - wouldn’t mind more SS 2020. Strange though - I wonder why/how the barrel-aged sundae ABV is lower than the regular? In my experience, those stouts normally come out higher.

 

Bummed that the releases are on Wednesday and I have to order on Tuesday to get delivered on Wednesday; I've missed a few I really would have dug.
Driving from Morris County to the highlands is a serious pain this time of year :-). I hope today's releases hold out a few days!

 

Maybe if it was blended with Unjunct I guess.

 

Anyone seen SS2020 or Digger in Morris County? Closest I've found is Wegmans in Bridgewater.
