MA has had this in place since the beginning as well. You had bars saying they were “restaurants” by serving hot pockets.

“Try the hotpockets, they’re breath taking”

Also have had our fair share of anti-maskers at breweries up here cause some issues.

When an anti masker ends up in the hospital with Covid do they tell the doctors that they refuse to wear the oxygen mask or ventilator? And that it’s infringing on their right to not breath?

I've only been to one near me while it was outdoor seating only. We had to buy a cheese plate to satisfy the requirements so yes, they are complying. I'm not sure how buying 10 tiny slices of generic cheese makes a difference but this is the price of admission. Both the cheese and beer was of poor quality.

A few idiots ruin it for everyone else (looking at you CISCO!) and of course tattle-tale warriors all around Boston, all of whom are able to make a living remotely from a home office.

And there's no stated end or reversal, with any metrics tied to it - assume it's just arbitrary or whatever the Davios guy says it should be? Or Stage 4 (normal)?

I guess it depends on what they’re tattling on. If people are really complaining about dogs in bars (from article) or say, places trying to get away with selling drinks w/o the required token piece of food, then yeah fuck em. But if places are not enforcing social distancing / allowing crowds / not having employees wear masks etc, then I mean I feel very badly for these businesses but they need to get their shit together too.

The State has a needle to thread, it’s not easy or comfortable.
I am waiting (jonesing) for the time when a seat at the brewery again part of my life.
Until then I see no favorites being played here and want, like everyone for a move toward a better place.
There are so many moving parts, stay focused , and diligent.

I’ve heard from an insider that DeFelippo has a BIG influence (catch my drift) & it’s obvious that his concerns for his joints are at the forefront. He’s a big Trump supporter/donor too FWIW.

I knew MA breweries had to have a food option but I didn't think patrons were required to purchase food before drinking. Isn't that change what this thread is all about?
I think in CT that particular purchase food first requirement has been in place this whole time.

Yes, @YourDigitalGrave you are 100% correct. While I don’t agree with it at all, places were not requiring you to order food to have a drink.

I’ve visited one brewery (on two different occasions), and four different bars/restaurants, all for outdoor drinks.

All are still open, and all prepare food on site. I only ordered food (I got dinner) at one of those places on one occasion.

Most of those were in Somerville, which is the only city/town in MA that hasn’t entered Phase 3. So arguably the strictest place in MA.

No one was enforcing this (and by the way, I do NOT agree with it).

I would actually be surprised if he isn’t at least considered for a cabinet spot in the (please god let’s get one fucking thing right in 2020) new administration

Well, I was not being very serious there. Hopefully Charlie won’t keep his ballot blank this election. Hopefully the same for all the other dissatisfied Republican voters, there should be a lot. Sadly, I think most will vote with the party or abstain (which is just as bad).

I enjoy the Lincoln Project ads that are angling for Republicans who hate the current complexion of their party to vote for Biden. But however good the messages are I'm not sure there is a large audience to receive them. The "moderate Republican" is an endangered species right now unless they are a silent group; a majority of Republican politicians are with Trump either A. willingly because they want to enact a far right agenda regardless of the Trojan horse they use or B. Holding their noses because any dissension gets you in Trump's "@"s on Twitter and your voting base dwindles to nearly nothing. Notice the absence of "conscience", "respectability" and "courage" in the previous sentence.

I don’t want to be naive as we all know what happened in 2016, but things are looking pretty positive as far as the vote outcome. I’m just shitting it for when orange boy inevitably refuses to respect the election results
