    Open to suggestions, tips and advice for a successful BIF

    as a newbie, still not clear on how this works...? Folks sign up, and then we get paired up...??

    Check the rules in the first post, but the general timeline is:

    Folks sign up over the next few weeks. Once the sign-up thread closes, @2beerdogs and I set the pairings and send them out via BM. As soon as you get your pairing you're clear to send, but there is a target share date, where everyone is encouraged to drink and review at least one of their beers (the mystery beer is often a great choice for that date).

    The portion on BIF etiquette expounds on that a bit, as well. :slight_smile:

    Also a Bayern fan (and Arsenal in the EPL). Watched the game with a German friend of mine and we were immediately reminded of the 7-1 2014 World Cup game. In theory, Bayern shouldn't have an issue with Lyon, but we'll see.

    Regarding the BIF, just follow the herd. Once you learn who you are paired up with, start dropping hints, line up some good beers to send to your target, and away we go.

    Well, my home town team has the third best record in the league (by percentage, which is how they're determining the seeding), despite having the same number of, or fewer, wins than 20 other teams. Pretty tough to be in first place when you're 5 games out of first.

    Then again, the Marlins are currently trotting out popcorn and beer salesmen into the infield and Patreon donors into the outfield, all in the pursuit of the almighty dollar, so it's best to just not talk about the Marlins, period. Which is a good policy in general.

    You still recovered quicker than your football team. You were my favorite target. It was a softball toss.

    On a BIF side note, I just got to share a couple of beers with another participant from thr way back machine. A pilsner and altbier with @lateralusbeer a Olde Mecklenburg in Charlotte. Prost!

    Well, today's margin of defeat was significantly less less than yesterdays 11-1 debacle, but, a 2-1 loss doesn't really help the numbers. @FBarber seems to have a commanding lead here.

    Ha. I paid off the deer that crushed the front end of both vehicles if that’s what you are referring to, but stupid Kia still wants like another $40k for wifey’s car for some reason. Greedy bastards.
