I’m a big lover of Kriek, but I’ve never had Framboise before.

It pours a striking magenta color with some tart funk to the smell. It tastes sweet and light without being watery, and is quite delicious!

I’m glad to finally tick Framboise off my list of untried styles! I’m looking forward to trying their Kriek next.

Getting my NBWB in a bit late this week.

I drank quite a bit on Friday night, not least the 12.8% abv from @Whyteboar pictured below that I shared with three friends:
Afterwards, I hit a brewery close to home with an imperial stout on nitro that drinks like candy. Consequently, yesterday was a good day to not contemplate drinking beer.

Today, with a high of 100°, a Kolsch was a much better idea than a BA Imperial Stout, so I went with this:

    https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/36113/502339/?ba=woemad#review
A pretty nice Kolsch that, while not spectacular, is great to drink on a day like today.
Incidentally, my friend Ben, seen behind that Perrin Reserve in the first picture, is one of the individuals pictured on this beer's label. I believe he has a strong friendship with at least one of the folks behind 3M. This series of beers from them includes labels featuring photos sent to them of people enjoying their beers with friends.

I might get brave and hit a stout that's new to me. Or I may just wuss out and finish off the remains of the pFriem Pilsener 6er that's in my fridge. Only time will tell.

For this, the 4th NBW, I present a great wild ale that was gifted to me by @FBarber and I wrote the 4th review for it. Rather poorly as I had serious issues defining what I was drinking, I just knew It was quite good but couldn’t say why. And then it was gone, darned tiny bottles!
Any ways, thanks @FBarber for something completely new to me and very good.
Also, congratulations are apparently in order!

How do you link to a review? I can't seem to figure that out, but I am brand new at writing reviews.

I wasn't really planning on having a late night beer, but after catching up on the thread I had to raise a glass to @FBarber in congratulations and best wishes. My last beer of the weekend is one I've been looking forward to since picking it up. Wise Words is a DIPA brewed by Dancing Gnome and Warcloud Brewing for this year's FreshFest DigiFest that happened last weekend. It's packed full of Strata, Nelson, Enigma, and Citra for a wallop of big hop flavor.

Look - Pours an opaque haze of vibrant yellow/gold. A one finger sticky soft head clings to the glass and resides atop the pour for the duration.
Smell - Candied orange slices and sticky ripe mango hit me first.
Taste - Where citrus and fruit dominate the aroma, a sharply bitter hop bite leads in the flavor. A bit of grapefruit rind finishes of the sip with a lot of dank.
Feel - Medium/light body with a soft mouthfeel.
Overall - Wise words pours beautifully and smells even better. A fine DIPA that packs a lot more dank and bitter hop flavor then the aroma suggests.

Back home after a totally amazing day in South Dakota. I'll be headed back in a few weeks when Eponymous does a BA release of a vanilla beer. Totally stoked about it.

But now I'm home, I'm really digging this new beer to me, in a new (old) glass I found on the way to Brookings at a flea market in Granite Falls, MN.

Again, I don't know why Imgur is putting my picture sideways.

Dakota Classic from Remedy Brewing in Sioux Falls, SD. An AAL clocking in at 5% ABV.

First off, I got a 12 pack of this at a grocery store in Brookings. I assumed they were 12 oz cans. Imagine my surprise when I finally opened up the pack to pop this open and they were 16 oz cans.
    DAMN!
    That made me happy.
I'm not the biggest AAL fan, but this really is hitting the spot with me. It is sweet and malty, but not too sweet and malty. There's a faint hop hint mixed into this beer. I'm damn impressed, and I really think this beer is under rated here (mind you very few reviews). I'm happy, and will be enjoying this pack for a while.

Pours a very clear darker golden color. 1 finger white head, that dissipates fairly quickly, leaving no lacing on the glass.
The nose is very mild, but it is a nice sweet malt aroma.
Taste - like the nose, it is a sweet malt flavor. There is just the slightest hop influence also, but very subtle, and very light.
The body is crisp. It is decent, no watery feeling at all.
This is just a solid beer for the style, and is a very easy drinking pick up.

This is all for tonight, and this new beer weekend. See you all down the road.

That pFriem pilsener has become my go-to fridge 6er this summer (aside from the Lumberpunk 4-pks). In general, this has been the summer of local and regional pils for me.
