They only have one message for zero inventory. So they can't have one thing listed as Sold Out and something else listed as Coming Soon at the same time. It'll go back to Coming Soon when they delete the BBT entries. No bots involved.

Also it never went on sale.

And big praise for them turning off the comments and or not having them for either insta account from the get go.

Say it aloud: I can’t get every beer release. I will not let fomo control me.

Agreed. Went to see how much of a shit show it was and to have people accuse me of being a robot and was pleasantly surprised.

I was in a zoom meeting and only saw the notification of the release. Was very to happy to see the posts without comments. I wasn’t trying regardless.

It's weird, every time I order from the SP site I leave at least a $5 tip. (Tip scales with the size of my order). However, seeing that to buy the package one is forced to leave a $5 tip leaves me with a different feeling. No big deal really, just a general curiosity to see that and think, huh, that's kind of odd.

It is and it isn't. The brewery employees still work for tips and if most people aren't leaving a couple bucks then they aren't making a decent wage.

I don’t mind it. Def some folks out there that aren’t tipping (which is fine). But if SP can find an opportunity to help out their staff ($5 for one person isn’t a big deal, $5 across every order adds up to a lot for the staff) I’m all for it

Totally get it, totally understand it, just commenting that it feels a bit odd. Also a bit of a slippery slope. If you are going to require a tip, build it into every order as a service charge, especially since there is a lot of work required to get these orders together and distributed at the brewery. Forcing a tip over here while making it optional in other places just, again, feels a bit odd.

Not trying to pick a fight, but it seems like the optimal strategy during the pandemic would be to gaurantee workers some wage, and just raise prices. Don't rely on tips when your business is killing it.

Maybe there's something inherent in the account that makes this a terrible idea - I don't know. But seems like a better idea than including "forced tipping." I feel like people would be more open to this if you are transparent about what the temporary increase in prices is for, and that prices will go back down after the pandemic.

less than 10 seconds. I had it in my cart and info in within 8 seconds. Unfortunately when I clicked continue for payment info, it gave me a “cannot process payment” error several times. Once it finally worked, it was sold out. Guessing I was right there along with thousands of others trying to push payment through and the system was overwhelmed

I mean SP prices have gone up during the pandemic. We just had a $65 BBT, more $40 sours, $75 bottles etc.

I know the $75 are a special case, but still.

Eh, just raise prices. A lot. $130 for the package? Nope, $200 for 1 BBT. Resellers are already selling them for that much, cut out the middle man, give the money to your employees. They'll still sell every bottle.

I don’t think that was your problem. I got the same error 5 times but I just kept hitting proceed and it finally went though. Of course, it was sold out by then, but it wasn’t the phone number causing it

That won't happen, though. Not at least in the near future. I'm not saying it shouldn't, I'm just saying we both know it won't. I feel like my idea is more practical, but like I said, I don't know the ins and outs, and maybe it's not such a good idea.

The flaw is the middle man will never get cut it, it would just raise the price they sell it for

bingo. In fact, it would probably make them more profit because value seems to rise at a greater than 1:1 ratio with retail
