Finishing up laundry, with a Deschutes Wowza/Red Hook Big Ballard blend.

 

Felt apropos to shoot this morning's beer from our wide alley (by Chicago standards, the Fire Department is across from us).

Alley Time, a Pale Ale by Spiteful Brewing.



Easy drinking low ABV with flavor. Hard to beat that combo starting off. Taking a long walk to the store, than a long nap before hitting wings later today. Hopefully the tap list turned over since my visit last Wednesday.

Yes I am pretty predictable, at least six months into Rona world with limited travel options.

For a while, I couldn’t find this beer; thankfully, it’s everywhere again down here. Next to Jai Alai, I believe this is my 2nd most consumed beer.

A new to me beer from my go-to bourbon shop south of the river

I expected little from this beer knowing it was five months old, but bought it to round out a mix six. Tastes very good still and a really nicely executed American lager. I hope they send some Oktoberfest this way.

Operation: Cellar Clean-out Project continues here with a CCB 2017 Hunahpu's Imperial Stout. I believe I got this in a trade back when I used to do those. Since I've tried a couple different vintages of this I wasn't as eager to drink this quickly. Might've been saving for a bottle share too but I haven't done one of those in a while and at this point I think it's more important to get rid of more bottles than to try to save for a friend. Guess I'll just have to drink this to the face, what a horrible thing... Cheers!



Rich dark toasted raisin bread, cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla, chili pepper flavor and heat, nicely balanced.

Haven't listened to NIN in a long time

 

Still on vacation in Michigan. The wife and kids are visiting a couple of the local little free libraries while I make spaghetti, listen to my IPod on my Bluetooth speaker, and enjoy this. I think it’s pretty straightforward, but very well balanced and tasty.
