Have a good Thursday. I was up playing chess(and losing again!), also reconnected with an old friend that was in my 6th-9th grade class. We had a good conversation about mental health and whatnot. I had a few chicken breasts around 230 AM. I had a pretty fresh bottle of Texas Petes buffalo hot sauce to douse it on there. Cooked in the toaster oven as usual. Still no luck on Tinder, I guess I gotta keep swiping.

Boulevard Rye on Rye 6. Amazing as usual. Loved it just as much as the base beer. A lot of dark and stone fruits plus coconut from the barrel. Rich sugars, but not cloying. Perfectly balanced between rich malts, fruity yeast, and rye barrel presence/integration. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering bitter/tannic dryness. Very similar to an English barleywine as with the base beer.

My favorite song on the album turns out to be the 2nd shortest on the whole album.

Good day BAs! Another chilly morning here on the NW PA tundra - we should see the (bi)polar bears migrating soon. Today's New Breakfast Beer:

New Trail has a nasty habit of not dating their cans yet they have the gall to admonish one to "DRINK FRESH" and, to add insult to injury, this one has no ABV on the label. For some time I've been using absence of interpretable date (I don't have polydactyly so the number of secret decoder rings I'd need could never be attained) to lower my final rating by 0.25 point. Now I have to add another -0.25 points for not marking the alcohol content. This brewery needs to get its shit together. "New" Trails indeed - forward into the past.

This is more of a German hopped IPL than a festbeer, but it's really, really good. I prefer this to most caramel sweet domestic Marzens. Cheers all and enjoy your Thursday!:beers:

I took a one beer break from clearing pre-July beer for my first Mosaic Promise of the season. Great beer, even greater price/value.

Love picking up a 15 pack each summer. Clean crisp, complex sweetness balanced well. Really great showcase for this hop. This is the way all beers should be.

Got my ten miles in this morning, going to take a nap soon. Lazy Thursday, what else is new.

Having a Hill Farmstead Abner to start off this lazy Thursday. I really feel like drinking a beer first thing in the morning gives you the best flavor experience. Cheers!
