I still think fondly of the time Matt and the Toronado hosted that big BA meet-up. I think, once the current situation clears up, it's time to do it again.

Ugh that one hurts. I admit I didn't go very often after leaving the Green Lake area. The staff there was really great, but who knows what jobs will be available when everything clears.

Fuggin' trolls can fugg off — instead, let's rejoice in the awesomeness of Machine House's new delivery service. Had a case of the finest beer in Seattle, delivered straight to muh doorstep, brought over by Bill himself.

(Can't wait till the brewery reopens, but this'll definitely do just fine given present circumstances...)

I'm visiting Seattle for work in a week. What's the bottle selection like in stores these days? Is it worth it for me to check a bag to bring stuff home or have releases dried up due to COVID?

I don't really have much time to run around to a bunch of breweries to pick up bottles but could maybe hit up one for something interesting. I'm working third shift so I'm not sure how much I'll be awake during normal hours anyways.

Some have moved to online ordering so you can just browse the selection on their websites. What part of Seattle will you be in?

I'll actually be in Redmond, probably staying center of Redmond, working further NE. I know some breweries have gone to online ordering, but are liquor stores doing it as well?

We don't have liquor stores per se. You can get good selections of local craft beer at grocery stores, drug stores, bottle shops, etc. The PCC market in downtown Redmond - if they are like other PCC markets around Seattle - will actually have a section dedicated to local craft options called their Tavern To Go program: http://www.washingtonbeerblog.com/pcc-markets-tavern-to-go-program-supports-local-breweries/.

Postdoc has online ordering now I think, not sure on black raven. Both total wine and bevmo have online ordering and delivery. I'd go to Bob's in lake City it you can spare the 25 minute drive fr Redmond. It's local, great selection, but afaik no online ordering.

Does anyone know what's happened to Malt & Vine in Redmond?

If you're on Facebook, The Cave Craft Beer Store in Kirkland posts pretty frequent updates when they get new items in, so check there.

If worse comes to worse, that Whole Foods Market had a decent selection the last time I was there, but it was years ago. (The one in Totem Lake has a good selection, and I was there a couple days ago, so hopefully the one in Redmond isn't too different.)

M&V is no more? I know they were 'temporarily closed', but haven't heard more since their last FB post on March 19

dang it - that was one of my favorites here on the E side N of 90

Prior to what you may have heard, Seattle is still here. We’re doing fine.

Most breweries are doing outside seating, even Holy Mountain. Don’t dare enter Floodland to pick up your bottles without a mask or you’ll be banned.

While it has been a challenge to get a seat per their reservation system at Holy Mountain the two times I tried, their online ordering and pick up system is top notch.
