Have a good Saturday. Ended up sleeping all day again. Woke up at like 8PM and then went back to sleep until 230AM. Probably going to play more of The Outer Worlds this morning. Really fun game.

I want to congratulate @Shanex for the new Dacia Sandero. First thing I thought of was Top Gear.


Amazing as usual. I just found super fresh 6 packs of this and Hop Devil 2 days ago. Best before 12/28/2020. So just about 1 month old next week! Citra, Simcoe, Mosaic, Chinook hops are a lot danker than I remember, but still chinook has that quality about it.

I had California vegetables sitting in the microwave from yesterday. Who knows how long they have been in there, I probably put them in there at 8AM yesterday morning when I was high.

They released a fucking B side to Palimpsest yesterday.

 

Poured into a 13 oz Teku glass not sure when was canned unfortunately, thinking late July. Pours a very hazy orange with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves a bunch of thick streaks of lace as it slowly settles. 4.5

Smell is fresh melon, tangerine, passionfruit, mango, and apricot. 4

Taste follows cantaloupe, passionfruit, mango, tangerine, and apricot. 4

Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, not sticky or dry, rather soft carbonation, and at 6% it drinks bigger but easy going down. 4.25

Overall this is really solid NEIPA from Branch And Blade out of Keene, NH. I do enjoy this series of experimental beers. Cheers all, go to sell beer in about in hour, might have time for one more. 4

 

It's a Saturday Saison! First beer of the day, Lake Effect's School of Brett Base Saison - Brewed with Beuxellensis 1 of 2 (Omega Yeast Strand OYL-215) .



This is the second of four, aged in wine barrels for 8 months. The beer was brewed in late 2019, canned in July, and released as four packs. My other three cans had labels, they ran out (it's a small micro brewer), and this is the unlabeled one they gave me info for when I bought these at the brewery.

It's a very nice saison. I didn't get a chance to pick these up last year (they used different yeast strands from Omega Yeast, a company located next door to Lake Effect), but will in the future.

Poured into a 13 oz tulip glass canned on 8/10/2020. Pours a very hazy bright orange with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves thick gobs of lace with amazing retention. 4.75

Smell is pineapple, marijuana, tangerine, guava, and apricot. 4.25

Taste follows pineapple, tangerine, guava, marijuana, and apricot really balanced and bold. 4.5

Mouthfeel is bigger than average, a tad sticky not dry, soft gentle carbonation, and at 8.2% it goes down really easy but is bold and loaded with flavor. 4.75

Overall this is a very nice NEDIPA, I really think I am a huge fan of Strata hops. Dank and tropical at the same time. Really recommend this NEDIPA. 4.5

Surprisingly good (3.9) and not in a clear bottle!

 

Got this interesting Little Shop of Horrors looking can to match my herb grinder. Going to check this in untappd for sure. This was very nice with the flavors of tea, lemon, ginger, and hibiscus. Tastes a bit like roses, hint of herbal and floral undertone. Kind of refreshing and tart from the lactic acid. Touch of ginger head on the back finish. 3.9 I assure you I will get some kombucha fermenting once I get down moved to Ohio. Probably low carbs ones.

This is a good one. Really juicy strawberry and kiwi flavors. A pit of pulpy/seedy feel, but it is still lowish sugar. I bought a 6 pack on impulse and it delivered.

7/24/20. Dark bitter roast coffee bean, chocolate in the back seat. Freshest yet for me...our Publix is getting this beer in on a monthly basis, and I’m a happy camper.

Lots of errands to run today...bakery, brewery, brewery, brewery and liquor store...it’s going to be a stormy weekend and week, so I’ve got to lay in a few essentials...Cheers and have a super Saturday y’all!

Damn straight. This is a couple of years old and the coffee flavors are still huge! It’s a tasty beer. Cheers, Doc! Stay safe.

 

I got some peach, mango, and certified colors. This was pretty great though. Bit of pulpy and fuzzy skin flavors. Definitely on the sweeter side, but this has some alcohol drying bite to it @9%.
