    Happy Saturday.....well, I was not expecting to make another boat purchase today - but found this canoe deal - 2003 Old Town Allagash 16 foot canoe - like new! With paddles and roof top foam carriers for $100!! Had to get it.....

    How is this tasting? I was at my local store earlier this morning picking up misc. everyday items like vegetables, milk, fruits, fish, etc and spotted a 4-pack of this. Last one on the shelf. It was gone a month ago, but a lone 4-pack was there, so how could I refuse? :slight_smile:

    Nickel Brook Brewing Zap! Sour IPA. 5.5% ABV and only 28 IBU. Have encountered a few of these hybrids in the Ontario Market recently. Definitely prefer them to milkshake IPA’s, which seem to have thankfully run their course up here, at least for now. Also starting to see a couple of Ontario breweries come out with a Brut IPA.

    Henninger Lager - 4.8% ABV. Smooth basic German lager.

    The glass was from when I was a member of a brewing club in the 80's and 90's.
    I met Charlie Papazian there at one meeting. Dick Cantwell at another.
    I wonder if the club still exists.

    You know what?     I've been very excited for this one. Triple Hop'd was a really solid beer and this is awesome, too! Definitely one of my new favorites. I had a bottle of Hacker-Pschorr, which is usually in my top (which also includes Paulaner, for the record) the other day and it tasted downright stale by comparison with this one. Freaking awesome.
