    As posted in NBW. Another winner from La Cumbre, canned 7-22. It’s fruity and bitter but the Nelson hops are not quite as “nelsony” as some others. It’s a West Coast Nelson:stuck_out_tongue:

    I love Anchorage Brewing, but couldn't justify pulling the trigger to get a bottle of this. But, if the chance occurs again, maybe I will based on your assessment...

    IDK, call me crazy, but maybe we should invest some national money into a pipeline that channels the flood waters from FLA or LA over to you guys in CA for your hell on earth firestorms...one big proverbial garden hose. Feast or famine craziness.

    In return, you guys could send over some Pliny Elder and Younger...

    The Ur-bock has a prominent bready malt character and is slightly more balanced with the smoke whereas the malt character in the marzen is a bit more masked by the smoke. I love smoke bombs so I prefer the marzen but both are world class

    This is Gizmo Brew Works' version of this beer and it's one of the best examples of a RIS I've had in a looong time. No lactose, no vanilla, no pastry stout nonsense. Just water, malt, hops and yeast

    I was actually more interested in A Deal With the Devil, but the waxed can was too weird to me. I ended up getting 4 of these instead...like I said, the wife is quite tolerant! She is fully not a stout drinker, but even she liked Blessed.

    HA - Fair Trade!

    I'm with @beergoot - couldn't pull the trigger on Blessed
    while I can say it's not about the money I'd feel guilty rewarding that behavior
    $73 for a 375ml is insane
    yet I'd buy an ounce taster!
