Well, now that you ask, I took a break from typing to pick another new beer weekend beer, Central Waters Satin

Now that you ask, I picked another new beer weekend beer. Central Waters Satin Solitude. I was saving this for cooler weather, but considering the previous pick, this makes sense. Verdict: kind of disappointing. I liked the other two CW drinks I’ve had now that we get them here. This tastes more like a porter to me, and I really don’t like many porters, Baltic or otherwise. Pojhala made a porter I liked, so...one. Back end of this bitter to boot, so I can’t find much to like in it. Maybe I’d change my opinion if I was on the back deck or chopping wood in the winter, but tonight? Meh.

 

This one from Evil Twin and Hoof Hearted has a serious wow factor! Night all.

 

My lawn hasn't looked this bad in years. Just crunchy straw colored grass and that's about it. Every time storms and rain come through they either go north or south of me. It's been weeks since we've had any type of steady rain here. Honestly, the hot temperatures and lack of rain are getting pretty tedious. A 15 minute shower doesn't accomplish squat.

 

I just told myself at 6am tomorrow to go back to bed, all because @scream gave me this beer to take home last night, and I instinctually immediately open it, to his surprise, but he gave me a cap for it that worked very well! Thank you, sir!

 

Thanks to @Joplamp for this tasty Transient Smoked Lagger, from the most recent Can Cans BIF. It's a very tidy beer (we've been using tidy as a complement in the NW forum lately. Y'all are welcome to use it too.), and i would happily drink more.

 

Phew. Sausage war avoided! Now if we’re talking hot dogs....Zweigle’s reds? Zweigle’s whites? Sahlen’s? Nathan’s?

 

...and I see you opted for a CW offering, too. Is this like how women supposedly sync their...never mind. Let’s chalk it up as coincidence.

You might like their Unsettled beer if you see it give it a try and let us know. Their peach Bellini beer was darn good too.

 

Nice one Larry, there used to be a bar near me called The Chicken Bone. They had live music and were featured on Bar Rescue, now it's a Mexican joint that's barely open.

So far, I haven’t seen those here. There’s only one specialty store that gets CW, and so far they’ve gotten mostly the dessert or barleywine 4-packs. I’m glad to have any of it to try...I’ll still complain, but I’m glad! We see a bunch of “High Waters” beers, but I haven’t tried any of that stuff.
