    Greetings glorious advocates!

Starting with something heavy ABV wise at 9% yet quaffable as can be. This is a marvelous beer:

I see @Shanex is starting early today. Hell yeah, bro. Meanwhile I’ll have another Singha and I’ll keep the party at Club Raul going:

Sup Raul? Yeah, an early start but glad that Club Raul can live on a bit.

I didn’t really like Singha, personally. Is it your nightcap?

Hey Shanex! One day in LA a few years back I stumbled out of a burlesque bar called Jumbo’s Clown Room and into the Thai restaurant next door because I had to relieve myself. Anyway, my friend and I became somewhat regulars at that Thai place, yet I don’t remember Singha tasting as good as it does right now. My first sip tonight I wondered if they changed the recipe. It’s pretty good. Nothing special, but I’m happy with my purchase.

The doors are still open, guys. Is Club Raul for you?

I hope you guys don’t mind, but I felt like a slash of Chilean wine to end things. So here I am:

I slept until 3AM. I had an old college buddy who wanted to go to a bar, and that never happened, he got his kids to sleep at like 10PM. We can try again next time. I gotta play some more video games today. I am going out of town this week, as I just got my plate tabs in the mail. So I am going to Toledo and Ft Wayne to see old friends from college. Power went out thrice since I've been up. Took a nice dump in the dark though, so it was alright.

Amazing as always. I'll definitely have to get another pack before they are all gone.

The version of Singha exported to the US has a lower ABV than it once did, changed from 6% to 5% around the early 2000s IIRC. Earlier it had even been labeled "Malt Liquor" because of some state labeling laws re: beers over 5%. One of the few "standard" imported lagers which was correctly reputed to be "stronger than American beer...".

And there has also been Singha exported to the US that was brewed under license in Canada - below/right label from Moosehead. Draught Singha for the US market has also come from the contract-brewing company, Brunswick Bierworks, Toronto.

These cans say they were brewed in Thailand. Thanks for the info though:

Yup, I saw that in the first photo. Just pointing out that the Singha brand in the US has a history of both changing the recipe and coming from different breweries, in both Thailand (the Pathumthani and Boonrawd breweries)
    and in Canada.

@Shanex coming up with a LARRGE early morning strong pour, many people joining the after hours party. I selected a new beer for me, Firestone Walker Coconut Merkin.

A full write-up can be found in my New Beer Weekend cross post. I don't like milk/lactose in IPAs, but are OK to good in stouts. Couldn't find the date when I purchased several weeks ago, when I arrived home found out this was nearly a year old and feared little to no coconut. I was pleasantly surprised, the beer held up very well and I'm glad I bought and will buy more down the road. Will enjoy my remaining five!

Enjoying the cool breeze while I can, it will be scarce until the end of the week when storms should clear out the 90-95 degree heat forecast throughout next week.

I really need to clean out my bong. I did a good rinse of the stem to get rid of resin chunks but that was about it. The change of water did make an improvement though. Will definitely scrape out the stem. I am playing more chess puzzles again.

    Always amazing and super fresh.

Try soaking it in some rubbing alcohol. That always worked for me. Good luck!
