    Good morning all,

Friday morning and will kick off the weekend, I guess.

I am drinking my now regular Sumpin’. Seriously I’m probably the one in my town drinking it the most. I’m emptying the shelves at a crazy rate.

Starting the day with a pint of Terrazzo, a WCIPA brewed by Phase Three out of Lake Zurich, ILL.

This is a solid Midwest take of a WCIPA, sweet malt presence, excellent pine the consistent reference point, the malt reduces the bitterness.. Still a very sold pour, one I am still clearing my stash from my multiple purchases of Batch 1.

Still catching up on BA from yesterday, noticed I was among the offenders in the "Beer Pet Peeves" thread. To encourage love and peaceful coexistence, I will limit references of beer as a "pour" to denote draft or draught beer. I prefer cask/draft beer, one of the reasons I brave the elements and Rona exposure to have a few beers beyond my home. Really enjoyed my four pours at Revolution yesterday, may return there or Spiteful Brewing next week for more.

Tomorrow is the 100th anniversary of the birth of Charlie Parker (8/29/1920), born and raised in Kansas City, MO. Will pregame tomorrow's celebration with a few notes from the King of Bebop, and an all-time saxophone great. Sadly, he died early (34) due to heroin use.

Good day BAs! Warm and hazy this morning - only got 3/4 of a bucket of apples today - looks like they're almost done which means almost no more yellowjackets in my back yard. Today's Breakfast Beer isn't new - I had it before on October 06, 2018 and rated it at 4.15 then (rDev +2%) and think I'd rate it even higher now. This bottle was the other one that I purchased that day in Spec's. This is also the first day I've felt up to drinking a bomber since I was hit with lyme.
But now that Karbach is part of AB-Inbev, I haven't been buying any or their products. Still, a damn good example of pre-sellout Karbach.

I had an army buddy from Lake Zurich - haven't seen him since christ was a child. A fellow herpetophile.

Starting with a Triple IPA may not be a good idea (a wrecked palate means that you won't enjoy any other beer for the rest of the day) but I simply could not wait until later to try this bad boy. It is a lot sweeter than other TIPAs that I have tried but it's not boozy. Not the most balanced example of the style but I am glad I got to give it a shot. Having tried Sip of Sunshine, Double Sunshine and now Triple Sunshine, I think that Sip takes the cake (Double Sunshine is a bit inconsistent in my opinion).

The original postal abbreviation, ILL, is my preferred abbreviation and is used by the Associated Press (AP) (though they correctly include a period) and others beyond the United States Post Office. The U.S.P.S also preferred ILL until the truncation of state abbreviations to two letters in 1963.

Loved the ILL marked wooden fence around O'Hare on Irving Park Rd.. ILL also denotes Ill, the sorry state of affairs here (pun intended).

    Official State Song!

PS - There is no noise in Illinois.

No offense intended - why use three letters when two will do.

I liked the Sears tower more than the Willis tower, FWIW.

Only one way to go from an 8am Triple Sunshine... a Sixtuple Sunshine Cuvee made by blending the three. Enjoy!

Penn State could use three, though I can understand the desire to avoid Pen State / State Pen, more so now than before. Historical reference / preference.

I'll slip in British spelling at times such as labour (though not to denote Labor Day), sometimes to honour my Grandmother (born in Liverpool), who was a proofreader and helped teach us to read.

@Shanex, absolutely nobody refers to the Sears Tower as Willis here, unless one wants to imitate Gary Coleman, or workers / advertisers who are paid to call it that.

Good morning BAs. Busy working in garage before it gets above 90° in there...time for a coffee break - Péché Mortel:

In a bit, I’m going to get another load of stuff out of storage, hit the pub for lunch and beers, then do a pickup at Cycle for a box of BA stouts. Busy, busy - Cheers and have a fruitful Friday y’all!

That actually sounds like a fun idea. And also, given that it should technically be called a sextuple (or hextuple if you don't like mixing greek and latin) then I shall name this "Cuvee hextuple de l' ensoleillement d'Arthur" in your honor. @Shanex , feel free to laugh your ass off with my pathetic attempt at your language.
