    I’m not exaggerating when I call them the best brewery in the world, they are easily world class, and nail every style the make. I’ve reviewed 107 of their beers, and my lowest score was a 3.59, which I gave to a Helles two and a Half years ago. It would probably score higher today.

    My Nephew taught school there for a few years there & we never managed to visit him there. I remember going there in 82 or 83, nice beach but next to nothing there then. Not really the case anywhere in costal NC unless you have to catch a ferry out. Enjoy!

    Was happy we got to see my Nephew in Key West this year before Florida shat the bed again.

    Tonight's Beer Tasting Lineup is Battle Beers!

    1) Surly's Warp Zone Pilser, vs
    2) Surly's Hell Lager
    Both are fantastic lagers, but Hell Lager is sharper around the edges. Winner: Hell Lager

    3) Sierra Nevada's Oktoberfest 2020 vs.
    4) Bell's Oktoberfest 2020
    Both are milder version of American Marzens. Sierra Nevada has lots of hoppy fruit reminiscent of their other beers and Pale Ale. Bells Oktoberfest is more mild, bready and smooth. Winner: Bell's, but neither quite captured the authenticity of the style.

    5) Lagunitas' Little Sumpin' Hazy vs.
    6) Rogue Batsquatch Hazy IPA
    Rogue Batsquatch smashed this out of the water in appearance, aroma, flavor, the works. Objectively, great haze here (as I don't typically go for hazy IPAs).

    Overall Winner: Rogue Batsquatch. Surprisingly great for being on the west coast. Anyone else think this is a great beer?

    Curious to hear what anyone else thinks of Surly's lagers.
    Anyone had these Sierra Nevada and Bells Oktoberfest 2020 this year and somewhat disappointed?

    Egg brunch burger with a skippy pb porter. Super traditional American porter. Solid pb presence, balancing earthy hops. Light yeast fruits. Very well done.
