Have a good Thursday. Wanted to go to Trubble Brewing yesterday, but slept until 8 PM, so I'll do that this afternoon. They have ramen today so it'll be awesome. Had chicken fries last night with a steel reserve fruit punch. Just listening to prog metal and playing some timed chess with once of my old middle school friends.

Fat Heads Head hunter. Dank and amazing as usual. Will be partaking more often once I move back to Ohio in November. Apparently tweaked the recipe since I've had last. It now says: Simcoe, Centennial, Ekuanot, Mosaic, Citra, Chinook; used to be Simcoe, Columbus, and Cascade. Hmm. Canned 7/27/20 :heavymetal:

Duvel Cashmere here. Tripel hops variants have never let me down, and it’s now year round because of its success. That beer is a hit, curiously has yet to reach the US, last I checked.

This is a decent song and video, and the inspiration from the movie Scream is obvious.

[IMG] Day off from my regular job, need to work later at the beer store. Little overcast this morning, but the sun is supposed to shine soon. This is some tasty Vermont juice. Cheers all

Good foggy morning BAs! Yes, it's that time of year:

Seems to have less bourbon and more clove than previous years, but HEY, the old memory isn't what it used to be - Mrs Lizard's memory is much better - not only can she remember everything that happened, she can also remember a bunch of stuff that didn't.

Still relatively optimistic with online dating, Though 90% of them are bots. At least the ones who are sending messages first. That or get ghosted right out.

Sun King GFJ. Fantastic Midwest IPA. Warrior, Simcoe, Amarillo, Centennial hops.

    Cheers

Haven't listened to this album in a while, especially the second disc.

Tweaked formula is interesting. If this has been changed from the "AWARD-WINNING" version, should they still be saying "AWARD-WINNING" on the can? Or did this version also win an award? Inquiring minds want to know.

There is a discussion in Great Lakes I found when someone did mention that even Hop Juju is a new hop bill. Used to be Chinook, Centennial, Simcoe, Cascade, Citra. Now it's Simcoe, Citra, Ekuanot, Mosaic. I am sure they do a pilot phase trying to compare recipes of some sort. Tasting panel and all that. They certainly have the capacity for a lab. As far as the medals are concerned, it remains to be seen. The changes happened in the last year or so for sure.

Hot damn! After talking about Fat Heads beer I applied to a position in Middleburg Heights. Not such a far way away from Doylestown, about 40 minutes. I applied for a Production Brewery Cellar Technician. Wouldn't that be fun. I have 9 years in home fermentation management under my belt, so I might be able to get that Cicerone certification to work for me. Maybe my closet cellar will be a point of discussion

    Having another one.

Not sure if if it is age, lack of practice post COVID (home drinking average just under 30 oz a day), lower body weight, or a combination of all three, but what was a fairly typical and easy four beers with moderate ABVs (5-8%) is not as easy as back in the day. That said, I'm alright, nobody worry 'bout me.

Easier beer day planned for today, this and perhaps one more.

Lake Effect Brewing / Murray Brothers Collaboration Caddy Pale Ale (5%)

Another great Chicago area based comedy classic, this inspired by the snooty North Shore folks at a local country club, likely the same folks residing in the country club near you.

Grease, Caddyshack, Blues Brothers, films of my youth inspired by my city. Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Planes, Trains and Automobiles and About Last Night followed. Still never seen Home Alone beyond the "Keep the change, you filthy animal" scene.

La Chouffe while watching The Tour, which is so far kinda boring for the past stages. Later this afternoon or morning for y’all they will have to climb a mountain in the Pyrénées; hopefully this gets more exciting.

Would be an easy commute with only your local back roads being potentially slow in snow days. Just shoot up 71. The beer hall is big and open, welcoming when days were more welcoming than now. I’ve gotten delivery from them and picked up some beer and food. Trying to support the locals. Good luck!

I'm experiencing the same thing you describe. I just chalked it up to old age.
