Bruery RS/HS Allocations (2020)

I'm a little confused. I thought starting yesterday 9/3/20, I could renew my reserve society membership? But I just keep getting a "join the waitlist" link even if I'm logged into my account.

Just opened a bottle of Rueuze Reserve and man what a great beer! I'd say I enjoyed that more than Iris, which I know is a bold statement.

 

Sort of. My checkout window timed out the first time I tried to pay. Re-entered everything a second time, though, and it went through fine. I'm sure the site was super-busy with everyone trying to re-up.

 

Underrated beer, one of my favorite sours from Bruery this year aside Sourrento. Excited for Rueuze "regular" in January for a side by side.

 

One of the downsides to such a great year is that good beers get overlooked. I finally opened my one bottle of The Spice which I purchased out of curiosity and it is pretty good. Good body on the stout, strong sweet vanilla flavor and the thyme comes in at the end, like punctuation to curb the sweetness. So many other great beers I have bought, and my storage is packed, yet this is a beer than some of years I would have stocked up on

 

I've been trying at various times since Tuesday with no luck. Different browsers, different machines, same results - no sale. I think it'll get resolved by the society folks but likely means I can't purchase anything on the new site.

It's a weird coincidence but I've always had an issue in the tasting rooms with this card, too. It doesn't work when they slide the magnetic strip and the bartender always has to enter the cc number by hand.

 

I’ve noticed lately that every time someone mentions they’re not buying Bruery beers or re upping a membership more often than not the reason is they have an absurd backlog of Bruery beers piling up. I think the main reason for that is the 750ml format of high abv beers. If they released the beers in 375ml I think more beers would be opened and in turn more beer would be bought. I know you can use a stopper and save half for the next night but I think it’s just a mental thing causing people to hoard beers to the point where they stop buying as much haha.

 

Drinking a 19 cherry tay zonday. Please, use fucking rye whiskey barrels more!

Yes!!!! Somewhere at some point I was super into 750ml of high ABV beer. Now, 10oz cans of BT will be perfect. This is much closer to something I could consume much more often.

 

Realllyyyy curious on the 10oz price point for the BT cans, guessing we will be able get back to typical bruery thread of raising our pitchforks....
