Have a good Sunday. I got some kind of weird stomach bug when I got sushi and crag rangoon for dinner yesterday. Lost my appetite after I took one bite of the rangoon, and then I started dry heaving and sweating. I ended up sleeping until 1130PM after that, and I ate half the sushi and rangoon when I woke up. Was amazing. It was a platter with 6 hand rolls of 5 different variety. A lot of food there, I will finish it later today. I feel fine now, so not sure what all that business was about. I also revamped my Okcupid profile from the dead. I had good luck on that site about 8 years ago. Plus they have the best personality matching system on the market.

Sun King Osiris pale ale. Excellent APA. Lasting rocky head retention/thick foamy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, orange, peach, pineapple, apricot, melon, wood, onion, mint, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, toast, spicy rye, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and rye spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, balanced creamy/bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness; no hop astringency. Fairly crisp/refreshing to drink, minimal warming 5.6%. Great Summit, Nugget, Cascade profile. Very vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a nice clean bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. Really big fan. 4.03

One of the problems with dozing off on the basement couch is waking up early. Of course, that also leads to drinking early, so there’s always a trade off.

[IMG] A TDH NEDIPA from Branch & Blade in Keene NH. Citra, Sultana, Simcoe, and Columbus 8%. This brewery keeps getting better. Cheers all. Hopefully @hbbeeremptor will have a steadier hand with the rest of his pours today. Holy head Batman.

Mad Anthony Ruby Raspberry Wheat. Great balance of juicy/jammy raspberries, fruity yeast, and clean pale/.wheat malt flavors; with solid earthy hop presence. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. No complaints.

Hope you all are having a great holiday weekend. Currently drinking a collab between Evil Twin NYC and Mortalis Even More Hydra. Fruited sour that blends blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, marshmallow and cacao nibs. Just phenomenal, and I will be having the mortalis version next. Enjoy what's in your glass today cheers

Good day BAs! Off to another chilly start today - but the plan is to can tomatoes later so it'll definitely be warming up. Today's New Breakfast Beer, which may be a cross-post with NBS (Oops, I mean NBW) is:

    Good morning BA
Today's new beer. Madame Brown Ale by Terre Haute Brewing Company
    [IMG]
Brewed an hour up the road in Terre Haute, IN. Details on NBW. History according to the brewer's website: In the 1890s, the Circle R Hotel on N. Second Street was an elegant brothel run by Madame Edith Brown in Terre Haute’s notorious Red Light District. This English Brown Ale – just like Madame Edith – has a rich complexity that embodies style and elegance. Bready, toasty–malt, with notes of caramel, toffee, and a hint of dark chocolate. Bold malt flavor, but easy to drink.

Cheers all and enjoy your Sunday!

Bittersweet early morning rain in Chicago, sweet as a contrast to the heat of the past few weeks, bitter as a reminder that late Fall / Winter will show no mercy.

Speaking of bitter sweet, Foreign Exchange's On & On & Beyond brewed out of Itasca, ILL is a nice balanced DIPA showcasing Sabro, Enigma and Idaho-7 Hops.

I really liked it, though Sabro is front and center here so I wouldn't recommend it to those who do not share my love of the hop. Full treatment in NBW/NBS.

A bit stronger than my typical morning pour, balancing this with "easy like Sunday morning" tunes with two from Stephen Bishop to capture the scene. For those of you not familiar with Stephen Bishop, click the songs below and enjoy America's most chill decade, the 1970s.

Bottled 6-3-17. Poured at 54°. Coffeelicious! Glad I got what I could, and will parse them out sparingly. I have more new beers in the new “dorm” fridge and hope to try one or more today. Have a sweet Sunday y’all and Cheers!

Damn what an amazing collab between ET/Mortalis I hope you enjoy it. I was disappointed with the OH/Mortalis collab but this one looks impeccable. ET seems to have learned a lot about the heavily fruited beers with the Et Stay Home series and I bet they will pick up a few more tips and tricks from the guys up at Mortalis. Hopefully they do some more work together in the future. Hope you are well doing well this morning

Mortalis and Evil Twin NYC Even More Hydra Triple Berry campfire. Fruited sour that blends blackberry, raspberry, blueberry, marshmallow, and cacao nibs. Much more thicker than the evil twin version with a shit ton of more berries. The marshmallow is more pronounced in this one as well. Hands down one of the best fruited sours I've ever had cheers
