My customized browser isn't even working. They've defeated me this year! The page doesn't have BS to block like on BPT you can prevent the map and widgets from loading so your F5s work faster but I can't compete with this. Lol

We need to hear from some locals if tickets are being sold onsite.

If I were still in MKE, I would absolutely purchase some 22 for curbside pickup and go find out.

Before I found the correct link for Black Gold, I stumbled onto their order to-go path. Surprised to see 22 Anniversary for $15 ea. Consolidation prize for all you Black Gold losers.

Not really. Still have 2 in the cellar. Been going to their big releases when I moved to Wisconsin. Good news is they usually sell the left overs and there will be left overs the following week

So I hired a personal trainer back about April named Side Project. They've got my fingers in peak condition. I flew through it and had a confirmation email from etix time stamped 6:00pm. Says I'm seat #103. Not sure if that number will give us an idea of how many packages were sold. For the record, I was on my phone, connected to a medium strength 4g signal on the edge of town in the middle of a family photo shoot. And yes, pretty sure my wife still loves me. Mostly.

What's all this captcha talk? I didn't have to do one. Also, there's an etix app? I looked for one last night and didn't see one. At least for Android.

I feel bad for my friends that struck out on BG. I will continue my streak of going since 2015. I will miss the walk and party, those were always lots of fun.
After a dry spell for a while, it has been a good week. My wife won the Pips lottery yesterday and I found a Stagg Jr and EHT SB the day before. Congrats to the others that scored BG.

I poured Black Gold as a volunteer at last year's FOBAB, few cared about it as they were chasing whatever shiny new pour had a line. A few commented there were/would have been lines for this back in the day.

It is an excellent stout, glad I had a few tastings last year. Hope FOBAB returns next year. Enjoy all who won!

Has Black Gold been able to be picked up via proxy in the past? I'm wondering if that option, plus the Rye Black Gold, drove the demand.

AFAIK it has never been proxy before. In years past the person picking up the beer always needed to be the person who the ticket was attached to. They always stated that IDs would be checked, but I don't think they ever were. That said I think that kept most people away from trying to use a proxy. Plus even if they didn't check IDs you certainly wouldn't be able to redeem for example 6 tickets where as this year that wouldn't be an issue.

I set an alert to get and grab tickets. I heard it go off, but I was eating and didn't check it until it was too late. Oh well...

I did get Vanilla Noche and Black Magick! Reasonable consolation!

Side note: anyone with a spare bomber, shoot me a PM. I'm sure we can work something out.

Anyone know if the taproom will be open, or will it be closed to prevent a horde of beer geeks from crowding in nuts to butts?

It really is. And when you consider it's under $20 OTD, it's a fantastic buy. I wouldn't be sad if they put Rye Barrel Stout and it into some form of regular rotation.

I'll also add as I don't believe I made mention of this at all yesterday, as someone who loves straight up rye barrel aged stouts, I'm really excited for Rye BG. Are there any other details they released about this beer?
