Not teaching today; foggy and 40 out there. Rainy mist. Time to see a Dark Star Dragon.
    Cheers, horns up!

House full of sick people, so I'm going with a quick trick: basic noodle soup, with one clove of fresh garlic and some sriracha (added in two steps). Delicious and comforting.

The Tropicalia is for me. Hops being anti-bacterial or something like that, and all.

@FBarber I finally gave up on the radio show, and transitioned to the podcast version. So much better! Now I can listen to the local hour, the pre- and post- show, and the show, probably in less total time than the entire three hour show was before. And the pre-/post- shows aren't censored.

If you haven't checked out the podcast form, it's well worth it. On-demand, too. Sometimes these millennials have some good ideas.

    Cheers, BAs!

I probably need to do the same. Im still annoyed they cut down the show to 2 hours. I'd just miss the simulcast ... Always enjoy watching that.

Cutting the show to 2 hours, plus all the ad reads, finally made me switch - because so many of the classic bits get shifted to the podcast (even funniest thing from the sports weekend!). It's so much better, though. This morning's pre-show is all Jim Brockmire! :grinning:

50 degrees and cloudy. A nice respite.
This will warm me up a little.

Have a good Thursday. I had a 3 hour conversation on okcupid last night, and I gave out my # and she took it, so I count it as the first success. Really cool person.

Old Nation Tart Strawberry M-43. Amazing as always, I have 1 more can left, but will probably be able to get more soon.

Holy fuck a new Ocean single. This album is going to be amazing. Out on the 25th.

    Trillium - Max Headroom

I haven't had a lot of Trillium - it isn't easy for me to get, despite my ease of access to Tree House. What I have had though, has been a mixed bag of fantastic and okay. This is by far the best hoppy beer I've had from them, and it really showcases impeccable balance and design. Super drinkable for 9.1% ABV, fluffy, soft, yet balanced pale malt, ultra fruity tropical hop notes of guava, pineapple, nectarine, apricot, papaya, and mango, with zero hop burn, and an intensely pithy, resinous finish to dry everything out. Would love to try Headroom, but this alone is superb.

    Cheers!

Wifey is at a doctors appointment, so I have the house to myself. I'm drinking a Blueberry Blonde Ale from Saranac. It's a one-trick pony. It is sweet with aromas & flavors of blueberry candy. That is all. I rated it a 3.17 which was a chunk below its BA average of 3.37.

Heading home from work for a 4-day weekend calls for a bike-beer.

Really heavy at first. Maybe I just wasn't prepared for it. But it's going down well whilst riding my bike through late-summer Copenhagen so definitely a decent beer. Cheers and may you all have a merry weekend!

I feel like crap, but I feel way better than my partner. I think I better up the ante on the beer front.

    Allagash Curieux

First time I've seen this one at my local (actual local, not Jax local - they don't get Allagash). They ran out of Barrel and Bean, and replaced it in rotation - at least for now - with Curieux. No complaints here. My partner prefers the bite the coffee adds in Barrel and Bean, but I find Curieux closer to a more traditional Tripel (well, as close as a BBA Tripel can be to "traditional"). It's also been a while, and I think I like it a lot more than I used to.

    Cheers!

I think I speak for this entire thread in saying that we would all love some pictures of Copenhagen/Denmark! What a beautiful place that must be. Cheers!

Just talking about music with the girl now. Who knows, maybe I can introduce her to all of my favorite bands if she likes them. Likes a good mix of death metal, industrial, and others. #1 fan of Jurassic Park.

One Well Xalapa. Awesome blonde, had it in a bottle last year. Lots of fresh jalapenos with balanced clean malts and earthy hops. Mild pepper heat after the finish. Refreshing. 4.1 score retained

Forgot how great this album was.
