Just thought I would post a couple pics that embody what’s wrong with beer culture...

One of my stores posted that Unicorn Farts garbage on IG yesterday and it sent me into a rage.

Another new banger from Pizzaport released today in cans, Today's Forecast. Month after month they release a new, always good, sometimes great, wcipa. Going to have a side by side with Beach Retreat to see which one I favor.

While solid, I was underwhelmed by Beach Retreat.

Drinking a Harland Nelson! Nelson! now and it's damn good. It lives up to the hype about being very close to OG Alpine Nelson, if perhaps a tiny bit more bitter than I remember Nelson being. Like Nelson, it has a hazy appearance but is a WCIPA for sure.

So here's the thing with a lot of these Pizza Port rotating releases and Beer Buddies collaborations in my opinion. They're supposed to be crushers with a decent amount of flavor and aromatics going on and they do that, however several of them have come off watery.

Does it make me regret the purchase? $15 for a sixer of 16oz of pretty good WCIPA, hell no (less actually because I get an employee discount if I buy it from work).

I think my favorite has been Beach Retreat in recent releases, because it seems to avoid coming off as watery as some of the others. I'm currently enjoying Today's Forecast, great hop combo.

Currently drinking a Today's Forecast, and it is delightful. I wish I had some Beach Retreat to do that side-by-side. Will wait for report...

Also had a Row 2 Hill 56 bottle earlier and absolutely crushed it. Had been awhile since I last had it and it's one of my favorite RR beers

Strata Rocket is tasting great. NPBC continues to dominate the IPA game.

I was surprised by Beach Retreat and Today's Forecast. Pizza Port's west coast game has been swami's replicates. These were smooth and worth the premium. I hope they build on this $14 is pretty much the most I want to throw down on a 6 pack of WC IPA. The brewers thinking people are gonna spend $20+ on a 4 pack of west coast IPA are nuts.

When they're watching people pay ridiculous prices for beer generally you can't be surprised. With the amount of great beer you can get for $15 a 4/6 pack or less though I have a hard time understanding why anyone pays outlandish prices for everyday beer

It is outstanding. I need to get the new PP NugOWar as it's also WC and all Strata and do a side by side.

Had a can of each yesterday, and while I didn't really compare them, they are both fucking fantastic and I'm glad I have a bunch more to drink.

Yes it was worth the drive to PPSC for this. I don’t think this will make distro. But I have been wrong before. 3 or 4 day fresh NoW. Glad I grabbed 2 6pks. And yes the pizza was good as always. West of s still king!
