I know many of your posts are based on satire, but if you think Hop Butcher is out here brewing like a farmhouse homebrewer just using what they have left in the cooler, you’re dead wrong. HB has been cleaning up for 4 years, they brew what they want to brew.

I think his point is that this beer sure makes it look that way. And, as you said, for some satire.

Satire aside, you can like a brewery but also tell this forum that a specific beer they made was not a good idea. That's one of the reasons these forums exist...

I like Tavern Cut (missed it last go) but in true Chicago fashion, a Deeper Dish truly satisfies best in the pizza world.

I was trying to make it clear that HB chose to brew this beer. It wasn’t a just a random recipe to get rid of ingredients they had on hand like some Belgian farmer figuring out how he’d provide beer to his worker's 200 years ago.

has anyone had b2 of numerous different things? Thoughts?

first milkshake ive bought in some time and its pretty good, one of the better ones ive had. the blackberry and apricot work well together, graham finish is solid. nothing revolutionary but a solid offering. bit of a burn towards the end, will probably let my other cans sit a bit. probably the lactose...

dont remember how i felt about b1 but i feel this round will be more memorable. dont regret picking up a 4pack of it.

I actually enjoyed batch 1, I thought they nailed the graham cracker notes on it, which added some depth.

I look forward to grabbing a can of this.

All because HB has been overall killing it for years doesn't mean they have some lazy, uninspired releases. Its sort of like when a musician writes 20 songs, then picks the 12 best ones to make the album. Its time for them to cut out the fluff. Of course they should keep expiremnting because that is who they are. But some of these beers simply don't work, no need to do it again the next year just because you already have the label art. Time to take the release calander, get rid of the weakest 25%, and replace them with new combinations as well as more often releases of the tried and true. No one ever needs to see those fresh prince beers again. Long term, once the hype wears out those weak releases hurt the brand name. Right now I understand that they could dump some lactose in a PBR and have it sell out in days but let's see some respect for the best recipes. Quality outweighs variety at some point.

Hell yeah. I've been waiting for the return of regular Blazed Orange for quite a while.

To be clear - Blazed Orange coming out looks to be the regular IPA (non-milkshake). Which is a NEIPA now but didn't used to be.

    to be clear...

Damn it. Was about to start cutting back on beer to take off a few pounds. Green Moss is one of my favorite HB beers. I'd be an asshole not pick up a few 4 packs.

I'd have to have some self control for that. I'll get two. That way I have one to sit on for a bit.

I went out to get one Ayinger Okto 4-pack but the store didn’t have any so I dropped $45 on Unwind Your Mind and two other DIPA 4-packs.
